I remember hearing this song when it was super popular and saying "This sounds like a song that took 15 minutes to make". Later I heard an interview where they said it actually didn't take more than 10 XD
This song is deeper than you think. Robert has had some deep mental health problems, a suicide attempt, and is diagnosed with bipolar. He and his now ex wife talked about it in a show called "djävulsdansen" when he started to get more open about his mental health. She stood by him through really dark times. He has remarried and seems happy, and I think that this song is a something to look at as more than just a love song. Many people hate it, It's not my favorite Takida song either, but I think the meaning behind it is so strong and beautiful.
The singer have another band, called Stiftelsen. They have a good amount of melancholy songs 😅 Utanför din dörr, Ur balans, Vart jag än går, Rotlös, Hon finns överallt, Parasit, Vildhjärta and Darling. The later is the song about the break up of this "Curly Sue". And then there is "Nu får du gå hem" that's actually really fun - in a bitter way of course 😂
Yes! Stiftelsen - Vart jag än går. 👏🏻 There you have a real Swedish classic! And a even more famous and more mainstreamly appreciated that prevailed and was played a lot more through the years than “Curly Sue” was (that I think died off in popularity a couple of years after it’s release)
@@Huxteble Who said anything about the songs being classics? I just gave him some fun facts and tips about songs. Never said that they should accure on the UA-cam-channel. But I think he is allowed to listen to music and explore new songs without it being a "classic" or filmning it for a UA-cam-video... 🙄

Great song, don't know much more about this band but this one is on my playlist. Now go for Tomas Di leva again! Miraklet and Vi har bara varandra are good and classic songs by him.
Remember back in the late 90s when i got their first demo cd directly from the studio. only one x produced. it was passed around among friends and got lost in time.
I probably forgot, but damn I didn't know they were Swedish. I love this song and it's melancholy... it's a bit hard to listen to because of emotional memories. Goosebumps.
eller "(I would) Die for you" av dem.

Swedish classic? Maybe subjectively if you are really young and began your musical journey in 2007. Decent solid song though. But Swedish classic? Nah, is a bit of a stretch to me. I don’t see this song being seen as a ”swedish classic” for most generations. Next song though - Till dom ensamma - a true Swedish classic. Looking forward to it! 🥰
@@Mcgeezaks It’s really not about that (the old parameter). As a Swede who grew up in the 2000's, I can say that this song helped me through a lot of anxiety and crap.
Takida! ❤
Öppna din dörr-Tommy Nilsson
Orup- Regn hos mig

+1 Tommy Nilsson :)

Sexigaste rösten i världen, Robert Pettersson.
