The Hives is not only a Band, they are great great Entertainers !! and with a lot of Humour and huge blown-up Egos, all backed up with some Awesome Rock n Roll songs ! :D .. I was at the 2003 Concert when they opened for The Rolling Stones, and before playing their last song Pelle, the singer said something like " Thanks for coming to see US, and after us you`ll be entertained by a "New upcoming" (small? :D ) Band from England !! " :D :D , The Hives are Hilarious AND one of the best Rocking Bands you can ever experience.. Always givin 100% !!! It`s hard not to Love them !! Go see them if you are given the chance !!!
If you dig The Hives then you might also like Millencolin, their international break was No Cigar, but if you want a swedish lyric song E20 norr are pretty neat. The Hives opened for Millencolin on their 20th anniversary mini-festival and both shows were incredible!

Jonathan, your fave and def one of mine too, is bassist Dr Matt Destruction. I was lucky to catch his bass plectrum when I saw The Hives at Annexet lots and lots of years ago. Awesome The Hives shield design on it in gold/black/white and his name. Sadly he quit in 2013 for mental health reasons. I highly recommend you to check out one of The Hives latest singles/music vid, "Countdown To Shutdown" fun and awesome and Dr Matt Destruction does a cameo in the music vid as one of the office workers! Seen The Hives lots of times and I'll see them again soon at the Gärdet festival Sthlm Fields
