    Those intergraded thermometers on the outside of the cooler are not always reliable, I bring mine from home.

    Condenser off, Unit on. fans will melt it down pretty quick on its own.

      Not in a freezer, if you're taking about air defrost. That's only going to somewhat work on a cooler, if the box temp is well above 32°. But with that much ice, in a cooler, the food would spoil before the ice was all melted. Either hot water, hot gas defrost, or electric heat strips is the only ways that ice will come off

    That’s been going on for awhile and they wait until there’s a ton of ice buildup to call it in, typical.

      its the same for the stores i work in. Once had ice that was almost a foot tall on the floor they only called it in cause they couldnt move some trolleys since the wheels were stuck in ice
