The beauty of Minecraft being a sandbox game is that if you don’t like something nobody is forcing you to use it, especially if you’re playing single player. If you think Mending or Elytra makes the game too easy, just don’t use those items. It’s just so weird complaining about something that doesn’t have to affect you or your play style, compared to something like the Combat Update.

I still hate the elytra, not only is it overpowered, it also feels weird for the game's overall thematic. Mending was also terrible, but not as bad as elytra by far. The combat update was annoying, but it made sense and I got used to it, much worse for me is the offhand mechanic, I still cannot get used to it. Sure, I don't play a ton of Minecraft, but it's such a weird mechanic to get used to. The ban system I don't really know about, I know the system exists, but I don't hear or see anything about it, but I agree it's 100% stupid to ban singleplayer too. Overall, the game has deteriorated in many ways, the performance is also much lower and the experience is far worse and less enjoyable than it used to be.

To the elytra n mending one is just stupid,like if u hate it then dont use it the same thing can be applied for phantoms just sleep "sleeping is cringe" then kill them "they're annoying dealing too much dmg" then thats more of a skill issue to be honest

The issue is they are annoying to kill. Like you had a better argument you could've used, being there's literally a game rule to disable phantoms.
And for the elytra and mending stuff, what about multiplayer? Yeah you can refuse to use it but a lot of players won't want to be significantly worse off than other players on a server, so just choosing not to use it isn't a perfect solution for those who dislike it.
