Bro. 63! WTF. I saw this guy just on FB and presumed he was late 40's, early 50's. Mental. Also 56.7 for first time 400 is nuts. Honestly my 16 year old self would have probably thought he is late 30's.
The one thing I wanted to mention, but forgot, was to never depend on anyone to get you out there to work out. Don’t depend on the coach, a team, a workout partner... you gotta do it yourself. You are ultimately responsible for your own training and fitness. I train 99.5% of the time alone. I often see photos of track club teams out there having fun training as a group, a big social thing. For me, it’s very solitary, self driven, and I go on my own schedule. Only you know what workout best suits your needs. With a group, you may not get exactly what you need.
Very young looking, especially with those dyed eyebrows and hair. I've never raced an indoor race, but I like to do sixties and 100 meters a couple times a week for 20-30 sprints. I'd like to race you in the sixty. It would be fun. I'm 92 and do Capoeira. He is, unfortunately, counting years, into the mythology of aging. always looking back and regretting. Not good psychology. Read: How I'm Beating the Aging Myths by Nahu Lanham. In it, you will discover my protocols for anti-aging.
Enjoying the interview! I follow William on his blog “Sprint Forever”. He is an amazing athlete.
What a talented athlete and musician!
