I also made a faire isle baby cardigan with this yarn- my first attempt at steeks. This is a good wool for faire isle because it clings together nicely.
I used this yarn for a large scarf in the pattern of a vintage Mexican serape. The colors needed to be subtle in order for it to not look garish and I needed a lot of colors, making the project more expensive. So I liked the price of the yarn. Also their shipping from Canada to Arizona was really speedy. I found that the yarn often split as I knitted. I’m not sure why. I was using wooden needles. Finally, the yarn is a little rough for me. Now that I’m watching your channel, I’m wising up to softer yarns that I didn’t know about and want to try them. Thanks !
Thank you for sharing Lillian! Yes, we have found some wonderful soft yarns, and more to review from Knit Picks too! We also share samples of the yarns we review each month on a card with our patreon members!:)
Woof I just bought some Wool of the Andes roving to learn to spin; I hope it’s not too rough in my hands! Thanks for the review of palette, I have heard mixed reviews
That sounds like fun! We've heard the recommendation to maybe use lotion or hand protection when working with more rustic wools? Perhaps that could help if you find it causing irritation:)

I personally love the linen quill fingering by purl soho.
