The color of your April Cardigan is unbelievably pretty on you. Makes me want to knit one!! I would love yarn stash video btw
The yarn colour is my favourite part of the cardigan! And noted - I might film one in the new year 😊
Great tip for the ribbing. I’ve never really like the way normal 1x1 rib looks for finishing a garment and I think the wash you used looks way closer to commercial sweaters.
I really like the technique! It’s a bit more time consuming to knit but it’s so much neater. I’ve only had very uneven 1x1 rib when working flat though usually it doesn’t bother me too too much
Thanks for sharing all the details for the April cardigan! If you’re making another one, I’d love to see your process - I’m super interested in all the modifications you mentioned 🤩
I have some more details on my ravelry as well if it’s helpful! Totally see myself knitting a second…maybe not soon…but one day! 😅☺️
Love your podcast 😊 and I am always up for any sort of stash tour!
Thank you for the kind words! 🥰 and noted - will try to film one soon!
I just found your podcast, I am a novice knitter and I learned a lot from you. Keep up the good work!
Thank you for the kind words! I’m glad to hear my ramblings are helpful 😅😊
Beautiful April cardigan and the color is gorgeous on you. Thanks for sharing the info for better 1x1 ribbing.
Oh my goodness I love the way your candyland wrap is turning out - I love your color combo!! Also adore the woodland ornaments!
Thank you!! The bold colours are a bit out of my comfort zone but it’s been such a fun project
lovely episode Rebecca, you are always so eloquent! I agree Florence´s tutorial for a double knitting button band is excellent. I am knitting the one for the Champagne cardigan, and having trouble with the stitches pick up, even when picking all the sts ...maybe you have a trick under your sleeve you can share. And I love your haul! I wish I could try that Knit Picks mohair!
Thank you for the kind words - to be honest I always feel the opposite when I watch myself back 😂 I feel like I’m so awkward and stumbling through my thoughts but probably just a product of watching yourself back at a painfully slow pace to edit haha. And yes, I love knit picks - it’s a perfect balance of quality and affordability to me and can’t go wrong with that 😊
Hey! I've just found your channel and I really love it :) xoxo a fellow podcaster
Hiii I watch your videos as well!! Thank you ☺️☺️
@@hipknithooray haha really? that's so cool 😍
Great job on your April Cardigan! 👏🏾
Ahh thank you! 💖
Hi Rebecca! Great podcast and so glad I stumbled upon it as I am currently swatching for the April Cardigan and not loving the look of the fabric on 4mm needles. Do you recall your gauge on the 3.5mm? Mine is 22.5 stitches per 10 cm and I would normally knit an XS but I am thinking a S to account for the gauge bc I love yours but would want it to be a bit more fitted. Anywho no worries if you can't recall. I'm based just east of Toronto so nice to have a podcaster nearby!
Hi Jasmine so sorry for the late reply! I have the exact same gauge post blocking - 22.5 sts per 10 cm. I think sizing up to S would work well 😊
@@hipknithooray no worries at all. Thank you so much!
Your eyes are soooo pretty omg
Ahhh thank you! 😅☺️
I haven’t done a double knit button band yet but can it be done in a contrast color or do you think it wouldn’t looks neat?
Since it’s applied afterwards, I think it could work! Maybe if you also knit the body and sleeves in the same contrasting colour, it could tie everything together 🤩
I wish I had seen this sooner, you knitting the Frankie sweater, I bought the book, could not get the single pattern, was forced to buy the yarn to get the book, then took a month to get shipped to California, I tried knitting this sweater 4 times and the instructions are so terrible I emailed the designer and did not hear back, I even wrote a comment on Ravelry and no one had an answer as to were to place the markers, so that I can later divide the sleeve from the body, I gave up and the yarn did not tolerate being frogged so many times, lol, what a loss of time and money that project was, I first saw this sweater on Danish Musings, and of course had to get the pattern, lol.
Ah I hope you figured it out and maybe my commentary is useful! I found it helpful to place stitch markers on either side of the raglan stitches (8 rather than 4 indicated in the pattern as I also found this confusing!) and also use a counting beginning of row marker to track increases since it different for 4 rows
@@hipknithooray thank you 😊
