Im struggling with this. I have an electro 5 that I'm trying to restore to factory settings. I have downloaded the electro 6 factory reset library as there is no electro 5 library, but the file won't open on my Mac. The file type is .ne6b and it won't open via any app I have. Are you able to help me out?
Hello @Igloo Hearts Music Great question and I have some potentially good news for you. There actually IS an Electro 5 factory restore - it's just not located in a place that is easy to find. Go here instead: www.nordkeyboards.com/downloads/nord-electro-5 *Pro Tip:* For anyone looking for "older" factory restores for your Nord keyboard, you have to find them using the following method: 1) Click on the "Products" link at the top of the page (www.NordKeyboards.com) 2) Once there, click on the "Legacy" link (currently located at the far right on the same line that displays all the current products/keyboards). Just look at the top right of the web page. 3) Once there, locate your older keyboard within the list of legacy products. You should see a picture of your board. Click the picture or the link to get to the details page. 4) Once you are on your exact keyboard model page, click on the "latest OS" link on the right side of that page. 5) Now you should be on a details page that has both the manuals in various languages along with a factory restore download. * Note that super old keyboards may NOT have a factory restore as they were created prior to the method currently used to restore your keyboard. Read the details on that page. Also note, that it's a good idea to do a backup FIRST before attempting any factory restores. To do this: 1) Open up the Nord Sound Manager and connect your keyboard via USB and turn it on. 2) Click on the button in the Nord Sound Manager called "Backup." (This will preserve all your sounds as they current are). However, the whole idea behind this video is the fact that you don't want to keep anything on the board but you want to restore everything to factory settings. So, doing a backup isn't really going to provide you anything other than a snapshot of everything you have on the board right now). 3) Alternatively (see above step), you can preserve your custom sounds by uploading each one to your computer as a bundle (you can select up to 25 at a time). This will allow you to keep just selected programs along with the samples you used so that when you restore your keyboard back to factory settings, you can then turn around and load your selected saved programs from their bundle. If this all sounds complicated and this is the first time you are doing any of this, I highly recommend you watch the first four videos in my Nord Sound Manager series on the "Mastering the Sound Manager" before proceeding with any of this. - Marc. Such a great video! Thanks for making my 'Nord problems' go away in a flash. As a classically trained player, Ive had my Nord for 3 years and had not had to plug it into my computer, until the piano settings failed themselves. Thanks again for making it so easy to follow!
Hi there, I'm trying to restore a Nord piano 2. Properties in the restore folder say it's a .np2b file and only has 604 Mb. Your restore file was 2.59Gb. So I'm scared to go ahead in case this is not correct. I'll play safe and put the restore on hold until I get the good advice. Many many thanks. Pete from Scotland.
peterthomson7050 Hello Peter! If you are talking about a restore from a backup that YOU made a while back at some point, then the file type of .np2b is correct, and it makes sense that the size could be 604 MB. The Nord Piano 2 doesn't have nearly the memory capacity of a Nord Stage 3 or 4, so it's understandable that the backup files will be much smaller by comparison. Now, if you're talking about using the official backup/restore file from the factory (found on the Nord website today as of this comment) for the Nord Piano 2, then the file name is: "Nord Piano 2 Factory Restore v1.1 revA.np2b" and the size as reported by my Mac comes in at approx: 633.4 MB. Help that helps put your mind at ease! Marc 🎹
@@MyKeysToMusic Hi Marc, thank you very much for replying. Much appreciated. I contacted Nord help and they put me in touch with a Nord UK service agent. You have confirmed the advice they gave so I'm double sure 😁. The factory restore was successful. Next task.... dirty pressure pads. watched a few videos on this and it's not rocket science. So wish me luck and many thanks again. Pete from Auchtermuchty, Fife, Scotland.
@@peterthomson7050 I'm so glad to hear about all this! I'm also pleased that Nord confirmed the findings. Best of luck to you, and cheers from San Diego, USA.
Hello @straightbent1 the answer to this question is mostly yes, but it doesn't work at all like you see in the video here. Written instructions and downloads for this are available at Nord keyboards.com at this link: www.nordkeyboards.com/downloads/nord-electro-2 You'll want to focus your attention on the "Nord Electro Tool," and you'll likely only get this to work on either a very old Mac or a pretty old Windows computer. The Electro 2 was originally released in 2002: ua-cam.com/video/q3NAFbTlzBo/v-deo.html Good luck!
you know everything about clavia. my grand has the C4 note that goes full velocity regardless of the pressure of my fingers. it is so much annoying that is preventing me from playing right. can you help me?
Hello, @C-Ra I think what you are experiencing can happen with any keyboard out there. This has happened to several keyboards in the past (Korg/Roland, etc.) Typically to fix something like this, it would require getting into the keyboard to clean the contacts under the keys. However, I don't recommend this for your Nord keyboard necessarily. If the keyboard is still under warranty, contact the retailer where you purchased it from. If not, you can contact Nord directly and they will likely put you in touch with the distributor in your country and then that will lead you to a place where you can either take it to get repaired or ship it off somewhere for repair. If you are out of warranty: you can go here for a list of distributors: www.nordkeyboards.com/distributors. You can also research who can repair keyboards in your area. Good luck! - Marc
To restore a Nord Lead 4 you follow a similar procedure. Like demonstrated above, you'll be using the Nord Sound Manager. Here is the link to the Nord Lead 4 downloadable factory settings: www.nordkeyboards.com/downloads/nord-lead-4
Great video and well explained. Unfortunately it looks like my Nord Rack 2 does not show up in the app. I connected via midi hub with USB with MIDI In/Out. Very strange.
Hey @Sunset Thank you for your comment and for watching. So, the Nord Rack 2 (which I believe is based off of the Nord Lead 2), it not compatible with the Nord Sound Manager. That's why you are not able to see it show up.
Ok, to start, I’m really an electric drums guys, but a friend of mine has asked me to help him factory reset his Nord Electro 2. Is there a specific way to do this same sort of thing for an older Nord Electro?
The way to do this on an Electro 2 is different than the modern Nord boards. You might want to start here: www.nordkeyboards.com/sound-libraries/product-libraries/stage-pianos/nord-electro-2/nord-electro-2-factory-sounds. My first Nord was an Electro 3 so the config of the Electro 2 is out of my wheelhouse. You may also find help on the Nord User Forum: www.NordUserForum.com. Good luck!

@tlptuna Hello Hhum. At this point, you may want to reach out and put a post on the Nord User Forum with your specific questions about the Nord Stage 2 here: www.norduserforum.com/nord-stage-forum-f3/?sid=8ab30a95a6dc754a8f3d2e840756c19c
Hello there, i get the message - File System Is Full- when i do the restore and it stops the process, i can't find a solution online, could you maybe help?! It is a nord wave 2
Hello @Niko La At this point, if there are sounds on the keyboard you want to keep (because you made them custom), you may want to try to run a full backup or at the very least upload, the custom sounds to a bundle if you can for safe-keeping. In order to fix this, you'll be completely wiping your keyboard at this point. You should be able to restore the keyboard back to the factory settings if you are using the restore file from Nord. (www.nordkeyboards.com). I found this forum post: www.norduserforum.com/nord-stage-restore-factory-failed-t5905.html Based on how others have solved this, I think you may need to go "Format" under the File Menu. This will clear everything on the board and after doing this, it "should" let you restore. You may need to format both areas of your keyboard: Once for the "Sample Library tab" and again for the "Programs tab". Note that doing the above will erase everything on the board. You're only doing this with the hopes that you can restore from a backup or from the factory restore file. Normally one does not have to "format" anything just to restore from backup. So, this is just to troubleshoot. *To recap, your steps are the following:* 1) Restart the keyboard 2) Open the Nord Sound Manager and connect the computer to the keyboard as you normally do. 3) Make a backup of your entire keyboard if you want to store custom programs you made, and you don't already have a backup for them. 4) Click on the "Sample Lib" tab 5) From the File Menu at the top, select "Format" - it will warn you, say yes. This will take a few moments, potentially. 6) Select the "Program" tab 7) From the File Menu at the top, select 'Format" - it will warn you, say yes. This should format quickly. 8) Attempt to Restore again. * Note the restore will take a bit of time because it's starting from scratch with no existing samples on the board. Be prepared to wait a bit. For extra credit, update your OS if you haven't already done so. The latest is 1.22 Please report back and good luck! 👍🏻
Hi , thanks for all your useful videos ! You seem to have the knowledge I´m looking for. Is there a way to hook up the small Seaboard block to a Nord Stage 2EX ? I would like to play some Nord sounds with that little keyboard to have the pitchbend working.
Hi Niklas. I'm taking a look at this question. I think you'd need some sort of MIDI Bluetooth converter for the Nord to receive anything from the Seabord but based on everything I've read thus far, the Seaboard requires some computer / iOS device at some point in the chain to connect to.
@@MyKeysToMusic Thanks for Your reply. I got it working through the Kenton usb midi host so i can play the sounds from the Nord on the Seaboard. It´s the pitchbend i can´t get to, you know the Seaboard has this pitchbend on the keys enabling you to play with an almost violin / guitar vibrato like I´m playing here www.instapuma.com/media/2103231072485001220 I´ve tried your tip on pitchbend where you show how to use the lower split but no result. Maybe it simply can´t be done. Thanks again for your useful vids.
Hi Niklas! I have a Seaboard Block on order. I'm going to get to the bottom of this and the whole topic of connecting Bluetooth controllers to the Nord line of keyboards. I get a lot of questions on this topic and it's been an itch for me too. Stay tuned...
Well, the Seaboard Block that arrived was malfunctioning (couldn't get the Bluetooth to connect). I'm wondering if I accidentally purchased a used one. Anyways, that's going back. But it appears that you can get this to work by getting this device (USB MIDI Host): amzn.to/2sOdd7h (affiliate link). You would plug the Seaboard to the USB host, then you plug the MIDI out from the host to the MIDI in on the Nord. According to the Seaboard docs, that particular setup should work. Let us know if you pursue this and report back pls!
Hello @S I N C R O I did a little research. It doesn't appear that the Nord Lead 2X has a traditional "factory restore" option done in the same manner as today's Nord keyboards. Instead, they provide the factory sounds restore as a "SysEx" MIDI dump that can be loaded into the instrument using either the "SysEx Librarian" by Snoize for the Mac or MIDI-OX for Windows. I read this on this page here: www.nordkeyboards.com/sound-libraries/product-libraries/synthesizers/nord-lead-2x/nord-lead-2x-factory-sounds You might also find more info on a thread available on the Nord User Forum www.norduserforum.com/nord-lead-rack-forum-f12/nord-lead-2x-restore-all-factory-sounds-t10212.html Also, if you refer to page 22 of the manual www.nordkeyboards.com/sites/default/files/files/downloads/manuals/nord-lead-2x/Nord%20Lead%202x%20English%20User%20Manual%20v1.0%20Edition%201.1.pdf, it explains how to revert a program back to the original. (Note, I don't own a Lead 2X, nor have I done any of this personally - I'm just going by what I've read and researched on this). " Incidentally, while we are on the topic, there is no "OS" update available for the Lead 2x as one was never made available. Good luck with this. It kind of makes me want to lay hands on a Lead 2X just to compare it with today's offerings - from what I read in the manual, it is quite capable! 👍🏼
@@MyKeysToMusic This comment and answer here are gold for some of us. Thanks for the good work for the community, it is really frustrating Nord has taking down the page with download link to legacy products. Now I'm trying to find out if someone can share them. Also wrote to Clavia.

Trying to restore a Nord Stage 2, so I try to download it on my mac, but when I click on it, I am told i need to find an app to open it with, and there are no current apps to open it with on app store... what to do?
So, with your used Nord Electro 5D, chances are you'll want to install the latest OS first, then restore from factory settings if you'd like. To install to the latest OS, watch this video here: ua-cam.com/video/bkPAmWBnF5c/v-deo.html (Keep in mind I'm demonstrating this on a Nord Stage 3, but the idea is the same for the Nord Electro 5D).
Hi Mark! I am trying to do the factory restore on the Stage 3 keyboard and have the updated to the most current keyboard OS (v2.62) and the Nord Stage Manager (v7.82) but every time I attempt to do so it fails. I downloaded the factory restore file (Nord Stage 3 Factory Restore RevH v2.5X.ns3b) and it is sitting on my Mac desktop. I have restarted the keyboard and the computer, reconnected the USB cable, everything I know to do. But every time I follow the steps, the restore process stops and fails. Any suggestions?

I have just purchased Marc's online course for the Electro and it appears to be most excellent and very in-depth. Also, signing-up and making the transaction is an extremely fast and trouble-free process. Looking forward to starting...
Hi Ruth. Yes, with the latest version the Nord Sound Manager, the USB driver for Windows should automatically install by default. It may also install on behalf of updating the OS to the latest settings. If you're able to see the programs and pianos listed within the Nord Sound Manager with your keyboard connected and on, then the driver is installed and running correctly.
@relbe-nataly-cover Try this after you cancel the process. 1) Make sure the Nord is the only thing connected to your computer. 2) Restart the computer 3) Ensure that you are using the latest version of the Nord Sound Manager 4) Make sure your Nord keyboard has been updated to the latest OS 5) Try again (Restore from Backup) If that doesn't work, with the keyboard connected, open up the Nord Sound Manager and go to Edit/preferences (via the menu). Then, deselect the option that says "Enable Cache." Try again. If that doesn't work, uninstall and reinstall the Nord Sound Manager and then repeat the steps above. If that doesn't work, try a different USB cable and/or computer to ensure it's not anything with a bad cable or a cable that is too long, etc. ⚠Proceed with caution: If all the above doesn't work, with the Nord Sound Manager open, select "Format" from the File Menu. This will format the entire partition that has focus (in your case either Programs or Samples). Doing this wipes the keyboard, which is scary because if you can't restore from backup, then your keyboard will be completely blanked out from all samples and/or programs, making it an instant brick. But I have seen this fix strange issues like this. Do this as a last resort. If this doesn't work, you'll need to create a ticket with Nord or create a post on the Nord User Forum to see if anyone has had this exact issue with the Wave. Good luck!
Hi Skip. One to two hours would not be unreasonable for a full backup - especially if this is your first time doing a full backup to your computer or the first time you are working with the Nord Sound Manager. The Nord Sound Manager caches your piano files once you work with them at least one, so subsequent backups and/or imports tend to work much quicker after the first time. Congrats on your Nord Piano 5!

Maybe mention the "Backup" thing first, and then go into the FaCTORY RESET. As a beginner, who isn't familiar with this type of digital manipulation of a piece of gear, I got what i needed for the factory reset from your video, and went for it. Then I hear you at the end of the video, as I've already started the reset, talk about backing up the current ideation of the keyboard! Hi Marc, i'm restorin my nord stage 2 ha88 that i purchased now. when I start the update it tells me "rebooting to update mode..." and it remains so. how can i solve?
Hello @Simone Asandoaie If you are still stuck on this you may have to pull the plug on it and start over if possible. Here are few troubleshooting things for you: 1) Use a USB cable (not connected to a UBS hub) from your computer to the keyboard. 2) If you are using Windows, be sure to install the driver OR the Nord Sound manager software. I believe the Nord Sound Manager software comes with the driver as part of the install package. You can find all of this here on this page: www.nordkeyboards.com/downloads/products/nord-stage-2 The driver is at the bottom of the page. 3) Use a USB cable 15 feet or less (the one your keyboard came with is fine of course). If you're still having trouble, present your situation as a post in the Nord User Forum here (if you can find an appropriate thread to post it on): www.norduserforum.com/nord-stage-forum-f3/
@davidgosling3788 Hey David. Sorry for the late response here. Yes, the Nord Sound Manager software works on a Mac or PC computer only (not an iPad or phone). You'll need to have the Nord turned on, and it's best to connect it directly to the computer (bypass any USB hubs you might be using). Good luck!

Hello rastarito. Hmm, it could a problem with one of the logic boards inside or it could be dirty power at the gigs. Does this happen when you play it at home?
@@rastarito I assume you have also updated to the latest OS. It does then sound like a hardware issue. Might have to seek out repair options. 😢I think you can reach out to the distributor for your country and they usually have options/locations where you can have it looked at. Best of luck!
Hello. I assume at this point you have backed up anything you need to save and you are trying to restore to factory settings. First, have you updated the OS to the latest version? Do that first if you can. ua-cam.com/video/bkPAmWBnF5c/v-deo.html Then try again. If you are still having an issue, try this next: With the Nord Sound Manager open and the keyboard connected and turned on, go to each section of the Nord Sound Manager one at a time and select the option from the File menu called "Format". This will erase the partition that has focus. I've seen situations where this is the only way to move forward for a restore. If you "format" each section (Piano, Samples, Programs, Synth Presets, etc), it should completely delete that section. After you do all that, then you can attempt a restore again. Pls report back and best of luck.

Hi Paul - you can instant message me via my FaceBook account (MyKeysToMusic). However I'm about to attend a concert for the next few hours. I went ahead and made some very specific "live settings" on my Nord Electro 6 and now I'm performing a backup. Then, after the concert, I'll do a restore and let you know if it preserved the live settings or not. It's going to take another 30 minutes for the backup to finish so I won't have a definite answer for a few hours or so.
Hi Paul, I can confirm that the "Restore" (from a backup you previously created) DOES retain the live settings when you restore it! I hope that helps. Note: that when I made the backup to test it, that part worked out fine. However, when I went to restore it, I got errors. To get around this issue, I had to "format" the piano section (in the Nord Sound Manager) before the restore process was allowed to continue on a subsequent attempt. Format means erase/delete in this case. You can find the "format" option under the file menu at the top of the Nord Sound Manager. Perhaps the errors I got were specific to my setup, but if you get them you can format, the make other attempts to restore. Good luck!
Cheers Marc, I will have a think about your kind directions. I could, I suppose, SAVE the LIVE presets first, individually; and then load then back on after the RESTORE?
Marc, Incidentally, the LIVE presets I am referring to are all of those which came factory shipped with the instrument; of which I purchased new in August last.
That seems pretty quick. It took 30 minutes or so when I did my test. But, I had completely "formatted" everything ahead of that to blank. The format process removes all pianos, samples, and programs completely and totally. (I had to do that becuase it gave me an error when trying to restore it the first time). So in your case, it may have been quick because the restore works is that it only moves the items that are not already there (to save time). There is also a cache mechanism in the Nord Sound Manager as well.
@germanshepherdlover2613 Correct. A factory reset can only be done via a computer as that's where the factory sounds will be transferred from. Hopefully, you got it all to work.

Hello @Igloo Hearts Music Great question and I have some potentially good news for you. There actually IS an Electro 5 factory restore - it's just not located in a place that is easy to find. Go here instead: www.nordkeyboards.com/downloads/nord-electro-5
*Pro Tip:* For anyone looking for "older" factory restores for your Nord keyboard, you have to find them using the following method:
1) Click on the "Products" link at the top of the page (www.NordKeyboards.com)
2) Once there, click on the "Legacy" link (currently located at the far right on the same line that displays all the current products/keyboards).
To do this:
1) Open up the Nord Sound Manager and connect your keyboard via USB and turn it on.
- Marc.

@Yosoychrissegura Hey Chris, glad to hear this!
@MyKeysToMusic Any chance there is a factory restore for an Electro 2?
Hello @straightbent1 the answer to this question is mostly yes, but it doesn't work at all like you see in the video here. Written instructions and downloads for this are available at Nord keyboards.com at this link: www.nordkeyboards.com/downloads/nord-electro-2
You'll want to focus your attention on the "Nord Electro Tool," and you'll likely only get this to work on either a very old Mac or a pretty old Windows computer. The Electro 2 was originally released in 2002: ua-cam.com/video/q3NAFbTlzBo/v-deo.html

you know everything about clavia. my grand has the C4 note that goes full velocity regardless of the pressure of my fingers. it is so much annoying that is preventing me from playing right. can you help me?
Good luck! - Marc

Is it possible to restore a Nord Lead 4 please?
Good luck!

Hello - the process should be very similar for the Nord Wave. The Nord Wave also works with the Nord Sound Manager software.
Hello there, i get the message - File System Is Full- when i do the restore and it stops the process, i can't find a solution online, could you maybe help?! It is a nord wave 2
Hello @Niko La
At this point, if there are sounds on the keyboard you want to keep (because you made them custom), you may want to try to run a full backup or at the very least upload, the custom sounds to a bundle if you can for safe-keeping.
In order to fix this, you'll be completely wiping your keyboard at this point. You should be able to restore the keyboard back to the factory settings if you are using the restore file from Nord. (www.nordkeyboards.com).
I found this forum post: www.norduserforum.com/nord-stage-restore-factory-failed-t5905.html
Based on how others have solved this, I think you may need to go "Format" under the File Menu.
*To recap, your steps are the following:*
1) Restart the keyboard
2) Open the Nord Sound Manager and connect the computer to the keyboard as you normally do.
3) Make a backup of your entire keyboard if you want to store custom programs you made, and you don't already have a backup for them.
4) Click on the "Sample Lib" tab
5) From the File Menu at the top, select "Format" - it will warn you, say yes. This will take a few moments, potentially.
6) Select the "Program" tab
7) From the File Menu at the top, select 'Format" - it will warn you, say yes. This should format quickly.
8) Attempt to Restore again.
* Note the restore will take a bit of time because it's starting from scratch with no existing samples on the board. Be prepared to wait a bit.
For extra credit, update your OS if you haven't already done so. The latest is 1.22
Please report back and good luck!

It´s the pitchbend i can´t get to, you know the Seaboard has this pitchbend on the keys enabling you to play with an almost violin / guitar vibrato like I´m playing here www.instapuma.com/media/2103231072485001220
I´ve tried your tip on pitchbend where you show how to use the lower split but no result.
Hi, another question... I need restore the factory settings on my Nord Lead 2X, thanks! LB /SINCRO
I read this on this page here: www.nordkeyboards.com/sound-libraries/product-libraries/synthesizers/nord-lead-2x/nord-lead-2x-factory-sounds
You might also find more info on a thread available on the Nord User Forum www.norduserforum.com/nord-lead-rack-forum-f12/nord-lead-2x-restore-all-factory-sounds-t10212.html Also, if you refer to page 22 of the manual www.nordkeyboards.com/sites/default/files/files/downloads/manuals/nord-lead-2x/Nord%20Lead%202x%20English%20User%20Manual%20v1.0%20Edition%201.1.pdf, it explains how to revert a program back to the original. (Note, I don't own a Lead 2X, nor have I done any of this personally - I'm just going by what I've read and researched on this). "
Incidentally, while we are on the topic, there is no "OS" update available for the Lead 2x as one was never made available.
Good luck with this. It kind of makes me want to lay hands on a Lead 2X just to compare it with today's offerings - from what I read in the manual, it is quite capable! 👍🏼

Trying to restore a Nord Stage 2, so I try to download it on my mac, but when I click on it, I am told i need to find an app to open it with, and there are no current apps to open it with on app store... what to do?
Hello Torunn. First, "right-click" on the application icon. After you do that, you should get an additional choice to open the installer.
How would I know if a Clavia driver is already on the Nord Electro 5d? I bought it used.

Hi again, I just read on Nords site the Clavua USB driver automatically since 2010 , installs the driver? I don’t understand.
Hi Ruth. Yes, with the latest version the Nord Sound Manager, the USB driver for Windows should automatically install by default. It may also install on behalf of updating the OS to the latest settings. If you're able to see the programs and pianos listed within the Nord Sound Manager with your keyboard connected and on, then the driver is installed and running correctly.
friend, I have a Nord Wave, the Restore crashed, and I don't know what to do, it won't move
@relbe-nataly-cover Try this after you cancel the process.
1) Make sure the Nord is the only thing connected to your computer.
2) Restart the computer
3) Ensure that you are using the latest version of the Nord Sound Manager
4) Make sure your Nord keyboard has been updated to the latest OS
5) Try again (Restore from Backup)
If that doesn't work, with the keyboard connected, open up the Nord Sound Manager and go to Edit/preferences (via the menu).
Good luck!
Around how long would it take to back up a (fairly unmodified) Nord Piano 5?
@@MyKeysToMusic You were pretty well spot on. It took about an hour and a half and made a 5.8 GB file I think.

Hi Marc, i'm restorin my nord stage 2 ha88 that i purchased now. when I start the update it tells me "rebooting to update mode..." and it remains so. how can i solve?
Hello @Simone Asandoaie
If you are still stuck on this you may have to pull the plug on it and start over if possible. Here are few troubleshooting things for you:
1) Use a USB cable (not connected to a UBS hub) from your computer to the keyboard.
I presume you have to connect the keyboard to the computer?
@davidgosling3788 Hey David. Sorry for the late response here. Yes, the Nord Sound Manager software works on a Mac or PC computer only (not an iPad or phone). You'll need to have the Nord turned on, and it's best to connect it directly to the computer (bypass any USB hubs you might be using). Good luck!

Hello. I assume at this point you have backed up anything you need to save and you are trying to restore to factory settings.
First, have you updated the OS to the latest version? Do that first if you can. ua-cam.com/video/bkPAmWBnF5c/v-deo.html
Then try again. If you are still having an issue, try this next:
With the Nord Sound Manager open and the keyboard connected and turned on, go to each section of the Nord Sound Manager one at a time and select the option from the File menu called "Format".

Hi Marc, how can I PM you, please? Thanks, Paul
It will be restored in 30 more minutes and I'll have an answer for you...
It's a 1.GB size for the Electro 6 model (10 mins d/l duration).
That sounds about right.
My RESTORE only took less than 5 seconds! Is that correct, please?
That seems pretty quick. It took 30 minutes or so when I did my test. But, I had completely "formatted" everything ahead of that to blank. The format process removes all pianos, samples, and programs completely and totally. (I had to do that becuase it gave me an error when trying to restore it the first time). So in your case, it may have been quick because the restore works is that it only moves the items that are not already there (to save time). There is also a cache mechanism in the Nord Sound Manager as well.
@@MyKeysToMusic - it may have been quick because the only parameters I had altered were the LIVE settings. None of the samples had been replaced.
@@monsterjazzlicks That makes total sense from a timing perspective. Thanks for the clarification!
