భావం:
హైమావతీ ! చాముండేశ్వరీ !
అందమైన కన్నులుగల తల్లీ !
శుంభుడు, మధు, మహిషాసురుడు, నిశుంభుడు మున్నగు రాక్షసులను పరిమార్చిన మాతా! శోకాది మనః క్లేశములను నివారించి సంతసపరచు తల్లీ! శోభాయమాన మురళీనాద సుధను ఆస్వాదించు తల్లీ! శ్రద్ధతో నిను మనసారా భజిస్తున్నాను.
English:
O Chamundēswari, One with the most beauteous eyes, O wielder of bows and arrows, mace and the trident, O exterminator of Rakshasas like Shumbha, Nishumbha, Madhu and Mahishāsura, O abolisher of sorrows, O connoisseur of the beautiful vibrations of the music of Murali, One who is eternally blissful, O Daughter of the Mountain, I extol you in my heart.
