Great to hear the story of JC!!! I have followed his career for many years and have a quick nugget from a personal experience, Johnny was and still is one the the most helpful guys there is in racing, one time in baja I was teamed with Healey and Burnett and we were struggling to start our bike and Johnny came over to help us!!! ... pretty cool when you consider we were racing against him.
Thanks for the interview JC, I met you while racing is a BITD race back around 2004 and even then you took the time to say a few words. Your father son story is a tear jerker man, I have a great father son relationship with my son and would love my son to talk about me the same way when i'm gone which is why I take the time with him all the time. True inspirational stuff thanks again JC and thanks Whiskey for bringing a legend to the show once again!
Can’t say I had a clue who Johnny was till this interview. What a bunch of good stories! The best one was when he got robbed and they made him pull his pants down.
If you guys have scott on, you better do your homework and really learn what he did for the sport of off road racing and the advancement of the bike, the training and the program.
DP...GL... might already be on your list but we got a local Oregon boy... Jason McCormick ... one of only few beat Ricky 99 shugal moto 2... he's a pretty good story... still doing good after moto✌💯
This was a cool interview, super interesting learning more about the behind the scenes of Baja. Man I hope he is wrong about electric bikes taking over, as neat as they are I don't think I will be able to get excited about riding a bike without the excitement of a big thumping 4stroke or ringing out my old 2stroke and listening to it scream. I just can't see myself having any passion for electric, also the fact that they are automatic is pretty lame.
A.f. that's a bummer. That was his championship. I wonder if he can hold on to it. Or is it going to be Just like when E.T was the guy to win a cupple years ago in mx and lost it.
ITs not the shape or jumps in the track that brings the crowds! ITs not the riders! Its the race, the close race the cut throat competition! Untill they learn this they cant make a good track. I have seen the crowd standing up and screaming, yelling .jumping up&down for a last Chance race with NO BIG NAMED RIDERS in it and then just sitting there like a lump on a log for the main event with all the big name riders. I am a motox/Supercross nut from back in the 70s and watch every lap of every race and even I am getting sick of just the same old jumps, whoops every week! Come on people your guna go the way of NASCAR if you keep doing the same track every week as the Triple Crown type GIMMICKS will not be enough to save you. GOOD close exciting competition will and that is what MADE SUPERCROSS!
The idea that God could only forgive our sins by having his son tortured to death as a scapegoat, is surely from an objective point of view, a deeply unpleasant idea. If God wanted to forgive us our sins, why didn’t he just forgive them? Why did he have to have his son tortured? - Richard Dawkins
What a life changing gift for a young man to get mentored by a gentlemen that will pass on the secrets to success and open doors for you.
You guys should get Dick Burleson on the show. Dude is a Legend and still rides in his lat 60's?
Really enjoyed this one. One of my favorite episodes.
Man what a great interview. Always been a huge fan of Johnny. Enjoyed his stories. Such a super cool guy.

All of the guests on this show have been great.
I raced Vegas to Reno in 2006 on an XR650R and we utilized the BO army for our pits. It was fantastic!
Long live the all mighty XR!!
Who the hell could give this a thumbs down?!
As Johnny says - Scott Summers would be an awesome guy to have on and talk XR history.
Great to hear about the Socal tracks. I raced at those places too, especially at Saddleback. They forgot to mention O.C.I.R and Corona Raceway.
Wish he would’ve talked a little about Dust To Glory! Best movie ever made.
Wild world of desert racing💯
Love my 95 xr 600, always watch his terafirma part before I go riding in the desert. Hondas rule xr's and cr's
Can’t say I had a clue who Johnny was till this interview. What a bunch of good stories! The best one was when he got robbed and they made him pull his pants down.
Hell yea! A true legend!
Great show!
You need to get Scott Summers on the show. Talk about a force in offroad racing/GNCC
I second that
I rode and raced a XR 600 for years due to Scott Summers and Johnny. I’d love to see an interview with Scott!
@@clayman4575 currently ride a 95 xr 600, my favorite bike, bike will handle everything thrown it's way
Hey Ping, can you wear the shorts you used to wear on Reno 911? Please and thank you
Without a doubt one of the best interviews on UA-cam.
XR's rule!!! Back in the day... they were best!

Get Scott Summers too! The GAME CHANGER!
BBarnes I second that Get Scott Summers Asap
If you guys have scott on, you better do your homework and really learn what he did for the sport of off road racing and the advancement of the bike, the training and the program.
BBarnes I think these guys would know but part of their job is asking questions. I reckon this interview has been awesome
It is still wild west in mexico..
DP...GL... might already be on your list but we got a local Oregon boy... Jason McCormick ... one of only few beat Ricky 99 shugal moto 2... he's a pretty good story... still doing good after moto✌💯

Tiger Pulled over and arrested? He killed someone driving his car like a madman in LA. And paid everyone off.
