Great podcast grant has a great story and is obviously a natural story teller. I really enjoyed how he tackled the low points without beating around the bush. I think after listening to this he is probably underrated considering how his career got cut short immediately after winning the 450 title and the U.S. Open.

Grant's dad about being hard on him... and the parents who were soft on them, is so true how it was in my day... love his dad having GL starting last as well.. but sad how it works out when you have no direction... especially when racers don't transition from top expert to the pros... I was in that group and my life took somewhat of a rough road after racing for the lack of guidence, and all my misplaced aggression and adrenaline... I had some spectacular crashes myself... Both Big James and Big Rick would remember some of them... even a hellicopter ride from going through a bobbed wire fence in 1984 Mini Os Hairscrambles... Once I crashed on a tripple at Dade City in a 125A Gold Cup race. I was so spun out, I got up going the wrong way... a flagger jumped out on the track waving me down... I turned around as the leader Harrold Matthews, who I was beating lapped me.. I snapped out of my fog as he was getting the white flag right in front of me... we battled on his last lap to where we were elbow to elbow and I finally stuffed him in a berm sending him to the dirt just one turn before his checkers... so I got the white flag twice... the only time in my life... lol.

First time I saw Grant Langston was at a GFI race at Perris raceway in California. While unloading my KX I listened with halfmy attention to the practice session running at the time. This was back (way) in the day of the two-stroke, when you could still understand what a rider did by listening to the subtle difference in RPM,throttle application, and the bike taking bumps etc.. Each lap would have riders dealing with a section consisting of a set of 10 or more 4 ft tall rolling mounds set maybe 8-10ft apart. Either you doubled or rolled over and raced to the next, and so on. But,,I finally, after hearing this repetitive THUD,,GRIONK! , THUD!, GROINK! over these each lap. Walked over to see WTF, and some animal on a KTM is skipping across the tops, through the entire series of moguls, from top to top,,, on a wheelie....WOW. The THUD was the hit as the rear caught the next top, and the GROINK was the poor tortured KTMs frame and suspension loudly complaining as it flexed. Lap after lap. Both practice and both motos. Almost both motos. It bit him on the ass eventually, with a good crash. But I never heard a bike groan like that again, unless its when a rider misses a big jump and stalls it in the air before crushing the landing. Awsome.

theres a guy who was rpo in the early and mid 90"s from ohio thats from and lives 10 minutes from old kenworthys but he had a eye problem make him retire from pro level racing. he had to start racing in open face helmet anytime he did ride or race. His name is Josh Steele he was at one time team green rider for many years. He had few races of top 5's as privateer in supercross but never ha full factory ride just support help of free stock crated bikes. I dont remember of his LL's finishes but he was top prospect in his hay day.

Didn't jorgensen gain an advantage when he was off the track by accelerating full throttle while Howell was in the air? Is getting back on the track and going all the way across the track and taking someone's line part of the problem? Also, coming back on at the apex of a corner is kind of an advantage because the rider on the track has to travel a longer distance. I agree there wasn't a much better place to come back on. Maybe if jorgensen would have came back on and stayed on the inside it would have been fine. Was accelerating while he was off the track what the FIM had a problem with?

Seems nobody is aware the same exact thing happened to jmart at Indy last year. With a 7 pt lose but kept his win . I’m a nobody but when rc was talking like Roczen was gonna be credited with the win was 🤦‍♂️. Officials did a piss poor job of letting them know. They should’ve had a decision before lap 5 , it’s simple. But I guess Gallagher isn’t so quick to penalize Red Bull ktm. The whole deal is a joke. But great season so far. RC is one of my all time favorites but not in the booth. Id much rather have Daniel Blair in the booth

Taking weeks off so people can get caught up is nonsense. Any podcast with a large following uploads consistently and the great thing about a podcast is you can listen when ever you want. Taking half a month off will in no way help you gain dedicated listeners. If you guys need a two weeks off for vacation just say that, claiming your taking to weeks off for your listeners or to so how enhance the listening experience is completely a bull shit excuse and sounds about as plausible as Santa Claus or the Easter Bunny. super weak excuse!
