In the clips where you're in the gym, and there is no music scored into the video, you can hear something in the gym buzzing at like 60Hz in that gym. Probably something electric, maybe a panel on a wall. Stands out a lot in headphones. I'm also an audio engineer so maybe I'm more sensitive to it

We all have a normal gym routine during the week. Are the bulk of your workouts during prep still the same workouts you normally do?
You look great man, and you're right 2300 calories is very low with the amount of cardio you do. I am upwards of 4000 calories most days (am on the rowing team so a decent amount of cardio there) and am still struggling to gain weight so I can only imagine how hungry I'd be if I was eating that little.

Fasted training with intensity combined with calorie restriction is a recipe to tank your hormone levels and drive up overall fatigue. Everybody is different but I got myself into a hole with stuff like that which needed months to recover from.
Agreed... I train fasted often but I am training outside of Zone 2, especially for tempo/speed work, I always at least eat something small like a banana.
And that’s why you aren’t an elite hybrid athlete

@@TacticalConsiderations2023 Well, I am not but I am pretty happy with where I am right now. All I am saying is that you have to be careful with higher intensity cardio in a fasted and calorie restricted state. Fasted cardio is fine and can be beneficial if you keep intensity low, I combined it with high intensity and my bloodwork showed that my testosterone levels where very low and I went to get checked because of generally feeling like garbage. Doesn't mean this happens to everyone, Nick is probably fine (we will see in his bloodwork) so it's just an anecdote anyway. In extreme cases it can lead to RED-S which is quite serious.
I definitely experienced something similar, so changed it to fasted low intensity walking with strength workouts instead. Cutting out running, while adding in more carbs after (oats) and more carbs at night to sleep better completely changed it for me. Fatigue and high cortisol levels weren't great in the long run, at least for me...

Hi. Every time I see athlete or guys like nick running on track in the morning with lights and what not, I'm wondering if they just use it for free or do they have to rent them like 1h - 2h -....

I do run for bodybuilder competition show too. Its get shredded down fast and by not cutting all food as well.

HIIT being better than LISS is such a myth haha love that Nick is a bit of a bro still
I was going to post the same thing. HIIT will burn more calories in a shorter time but it’ll eat at your muscle growth unless you’re eating the calories to offset it. LISS puts you in a state of burning more fat than muscle because there’s less of an energy demand, hence why most body builders walk over run.
@@CorGP also the recovery demands for 500 cals worth of HIIT is way great than the demands of 500 cals of incline walking on a treadmill
Are all supplements natural flavored? Without artificial flavoring?
Quick question - Are you zigzagging your calories as you cut down? My mom is a IFBB pro and when she would cut down she found that zigzagging them to be quite helpful for her. It's just another strat to keep your metabolism going the best you can, without it tanking as you drop calories

So I’m just starting out at 50yrs old….I’m 5’9” and 185lbs probably 20-25% body fat 🤷🏻♂️ Would love to get to about 10-12% 160lbs or so… Should I get carbs out of the diet completely or limit to once a day… rice or sweet potatoes

Just curious…workouts are not strict form with lots of body sway/assist….is that ok? I’m a novice and have been told so many times to be strict with technique when lifting weights.
