I remember growing up my grandma lived wayyyy back in the hills of Tennessee chewed tobacco and smoked cigarettes and a shot of shine everyday lived to be 99 years old reminds me of the music we heard the whole time we where there
I discovered The SteelDrivers just to months ago after I found out Chis Stapleton sang for them. What a tremendous collection of songwriting and musicianship. I now own ALL of thier CD's!!!
They don't have any bad songs. They are how i got hooked on bluegrass n made me buy my first of 3 banjos too. Just undeniably the best bluegrass band out there
I agree. I listened to progressive bluegrass on Pandora. every time I heard a good song I looked and it was the steeldrivers. so I put it on steeldrivers radio and haven't list to another station since.
Ha no way dude these guys are standing on the shoulders of Giants ..Stanley bill monroe now so far these driver's ain't even in the same hall son. These are not ready biscuits this is country with a helluva vocal and somebody there is smart love the pastel chords. I want to hear them in 9 years. Now I've sat beside a couple of bluesmen real blues ..it's really loud when it wants to fill the hall with a wail...or high pitched scream bluegrass is an indigenous thing don't forget grandad Stanley he's in the family we seen him so much lol.. but the chest punch of a good vocal line these guys bluegrass players too ..notice the rollercoaster vocals nobody builds bigger rollercoasters than blues and blue Grass men. I'm not hearing that in these genetically organic songs .. haha thing is you cannot fake some blues baby either you're hurting or you ain't I think we all know the difference..this guy I think he works really hard but he's holding back. When's the last time somebody s singing made you cry.
I come from south uk on council estates which couldn’t be further from the mountains of the us but I still feel like an old moonshine runner while blasting this track out in my garden cabin
Hey man, have pride with it. This music originates with your Saxon blood and my celtic brothers across the sea. You guys made this music we just put our little twist to it. Just sending a good little howdy from Wilmington, NC🇺🇸🏴🇮🇪🏴🏴
My father put this song when I was a kid walking to work with him, I've been listening to this song and the steeldrivers in general ever since. I play this song when I need to focus on any task. Thank you Steeldrivers for making this song and Ghosts of Mississippi

I really wish Chris would've stuck with these guys! bluegrass needs to be back in the spotlight!! Chris is an amazing solo artist, but he wouldn't have gotten there without this group.. I wish he would've at least given a shout out to them when he won his Grammy! #dontforgetyourroots
Well the sun don't shine On a moonshine still Copper line hiding in the side of a hill It'll get you there It'll get you there quicker Fruit jar full of that good corn liquor Now when I was young About five or six Daddy lost a job and my mama took sick And times got tough And mama got sicker Daddy started running that good corn liquor Well the sun don't shine On a moonshine still Copper line hiding in the side of a hill It'll get you there It'll get you there quicker Fruit jar full of that good corn liquor I remember that night It was a blood red moon And daddy was doing what he had to do When a shot rang out And the sheriff pulled the trigger And daddy stopped running that good corn liquor Well the sun don't shine On a moonshine still Copper line hiding in the side of a hill It'll get you there It'll get you there quicker Fruit jar full of that good corn liquor
The absolute best soul singer hands down with the best bluegrass band equals something truly special that resonates more so in 2022’s subpar country music atmosphere that’s out there today.
I absolutely love this music. I am addicted! Please come and play in CA... you can stay with me, all you would have to do is sing for your supper! 😂 thank you!
what an amazing testament to their talent when they lose a founding member in their lead singer, then win a grammy with his replacement, then lose him to health issues, and STILL continue to be a great band!!!!!!
GREAT JOB BROTHER ME CAME FROM COAL COUNTRY WVA NOTHING BUT RIDGE RUNNERS UP YOUNDER. THANK YOU MERRY CHRISTMAS FER YALL. BE SAFE STAY SMOOTH N FROSTY BROTHER.HAVE A GREAT DAY🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸 ALL WE WANT 4 CHRISTMAS IS FREEDOM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The "Swampers” were “The Muscle Shoals Sound Rhythm Section", a studio band that hung out at Muscle Shoals Sound Studio, that cranked out tons of classic recordings from Wilson Pickett, Aretha Franklin, Rolling Stones (Wild Horses) and Willie Nelson, and more; and of course Skynyrd recorded Street Survivors there, and the studio and band are mentioned in Sweet Home Alabama: "Now Muscle Shoals has got the Swampers, and they've been known to pick a song or two..." This bluegrass band Steeldrivers just recorded their last album there and it is awesome. Listen to this song. “Good Corn Liquor” and you can see they got the sound, and they are not your father’s bluegrass band. Great stuff guys!
Why oh why can't they have at least one radio station that will play this kind of country, bluegrass amped up or real country. In the end us real country fans will still be here. The pop fans will move on!
I admit there are good Republicans and they need to help us weed out the AntiAmerican, brainwashed and Dangerous Traitor Trash aka: The Q idiots that live in a different reality. The GQP and tRump are going to be held accountable for their Treasonous, Seditious Insurrection
And if they are not held accountable and have The Book thrown at them. GQP officially created a clear and present danger to National Security and Public Health. These assholes made America seem weak. If Y’all Qaeda and Vanilla ISIS attack us we can blame @GQP
People.... this music was not dead.... Alison Krauss, Dan Tyminski, Bela Fleck, Sam Bush, Jerry Douglass, Hank 3, Jamey Johnson, Ryan Bingham, Shooter Jennings, all have been carrying this torch likely longer than most of you have been bangin...

Well the sun don't shine
On a moonshine still
Copper line hiding in the side of a hill
It'll get you there
It'll get you there quicker
Fruit jar full of that good corn liquor
Now when I was young
About five or six
Daddy lost a job and my mama took sick
And times got tough
And mama got sicker
Daddy started running that good corn liquor
Well the sun don't shine
On a moonshine still
Copper line hiding in the side of a hill
It'll get you there
It'll get you there quicker
Fruit jar full of that good corn liquor
I remember that night
It was a blood red moon
And daddy was doing what he had to do
When a shot rang out
And the sheriff pulled the trigger
And daddy stopped running that good corn liquor
Well the sun don't shine
On a moonshine still
Copper line hiding in the side of a hill
It'll get you there
It'll get you there quicker
Fruit jar full of that good corn liquor
Thanks!
Thank you sir
