Wow, thank you! I only got to 1:11 minutes in, and within 5 minutes my Oreck was working like I expect it to! Thanks for sharing this!!
Thank you, for taking the time to do this video. It helped me out.
Thanks a lot for the T-20 bit info. Really helpful. I went ahead and bought one in the screwdriver version ! Great video !
Brand new Oreck XL; my wife picked up a clamp from a treadmill we cleared out and sounded like motor was done. I pulled the fan to the engine off and there was a old clamp stuck to the blade; pulled it off and it is fixed. Thanks. I am a desk worker so the whole T20 bit was new to me and I had no idea, but I have a set of them now!
Good on you for getting a torx set. The more you start to fix things here and there, the more happy you’ll be that you have a set of those.
I bought a Torx set to repair our Shark vacuum, which may be impossible. Now I'm shopping for something that can be maintained--possibly an Oreck.
Thank you so much! You just saved me $300! Fantastic!
Glad I could help!
Where do i find the li k for the replacement kit?@UltimateToolReviews
Thank you, helped with a belt replacement!!
At 0:48 you start to talk about the very coarse thread Phillips screws that hold the door cover the belt. Any further specs on this fastener? My vacuum (picked up at a thrift store) didn’t have that fastener.
Thank you for helping me out!
Happy to help!
Hi our new vac keeps throwing the belt. Any ideas?
If you find out why let me know as mine falls off every time too.
So helpful. Thank you!
Thanks! Gonna try this!
My oreck is 13 yrs old just starting hard to push
What does that silver piece do? What’s the purpose of it? Also, the one I’ve got has a rubber insulation/guard piece. I took it apart before watching this and didn’t know that the whole cover would come off without removing the long silver piece and the rubber piece.
I think it protects the plastic case around the roller from cracking and damage.
Ok thx. Any chance you could make a video on that and how to get it back on there? I couldn’t put it back the way it was. The long silver piece went right back into place, but the rubber guard piece won’t go back in without obstructing the long silver piece from fitting where it’s supposed to.
@@Whitebreadonly I have exactly the same question. You showed the silver piece on the video, but not the rubber gasket/squeegee-looking piece that goes on first. I need to know how to put it back. I don't see an answer to the question.
I took off the metal part with the squeegee on the base plate. I don't see which way to put the squeegee back when I'm putting the metal piece back. :( This is the silver piece with 3 short screws. Can you please help me?
Help! I inherited my mom’s vacuum and the wheels are so full and wrapped with hair!! Do they come off??
Thank you for this video
Why does my XL Commercial have a black plastic roller instead of wood like yours? The spindle for the belt is also black plastic. Its 2 years old and has been a horrible vacuum. Very hard to push. We even had it replaced under warranty in the first 6 months and the new one is the same way. My wife hates it. The roller spins freely and the belt is good, so wondering if the new design roller is a defect and I should try buying a wood roller.
If you are vacuuming on a really deep pile carpet it is very hard to push. These vacuums were made for flat surfaces or low pile carpet.
@@2thfairy1959 Not even deep pile carpet. Just really designed for that really thin hotel carpet IMO. Recently replace the roller with a better quality wood one, and still is bad.
Thank you!!
Thank u!
Mine makes a stuck noise . Just a loud noise. Doesn’t spin or anything
My roller is working fine but it doesnt seem to be sucking up dust??? Im very confused.
Probably have a clog
@@UltimateToolReviewswhere would the clog be? I don’t see one anywhere. Everything moves fine. No suction
@@JayN4GO Probably between the suction of the blower and the head. That happens to me when I feed dog hair into it too fast
Dude you didn't out the belt on. Lol
Thank you! It worked for me.
Glad it helped
