I feel bad for any soldier, (clone or otherwise), put under Ozzel’s command, thankfully Vader fixed all that over Hoth
He really is the worst that can give the Jedi a run for their money.
Yeah Ozzel had no business being in combat.
Wow,even BEFORE the rise of the Galactic Empire Ozzel was already an EXTREMELY sad excuse of a commanding officer. I'm almost impressed, almost.
@merafirewing6591 honestly, idk how he made it to admiral
Actually, I do know, it's all money, family name and prestige
@@AlsayidHaddosh---Or in this case he probably kept on taking credit for the accomplishments of others. Just like the duce bag he was.
After learning about who Ozzel used to be back in the Clones Wars, we all can agreed that Darth Vader choked him to death is the best thing he did ever since he became a Sith Lord.
Wolffe and Ventress appeared on screen together in the Clone Wars, (during Ahsoka's time as a fugitive) and being the Lore-nerd I am, I was hoping they'd have a little bit of a chat when they met up on Coruscant.
But... well, they didn't, sadly. Granted, I'm sure Wolffe taking his helmet off and saying "Remember me?" wouldn't work as well if mkst fans weren't aware that they had indeed met before.
Ozzel might be incompetent, but at least he led his troops right from the frontline, unlike many other commanders.
He probably didn’t have a choice, or thought about how dangerous it would be
The one good thing I would say Ozzel ever did was make Commander Wolffe more of a badass. Vader did the galaxy a favor by ridding it of Ozzel. Shame he didn't do it soon
Wolffe: Hopefully that incompetent excuse of an admiral gets what he deserves someday.
25-ish years later
Darth Vader: You have failed me for the last time admiral. (Ozzel dies)
With the sole exception of hurling the Emperor down that shaft I think the only other Vader action I approve of is when he terminated Admiral Ozzel for his failure over Hoth.
Ozzel claiming victory and credit for the battle is social commentary and you can’t convince me otherwise!
If there's enough information for it, could there be a video on the disastrous Siege of Colla IV, where 100 Scorpenek Annihilator Droids destroyed an entire Republic Army?
Love these stories! Anything with Plo Koon. More of him please lol
"Being evidence that Dave Filoni is a furry" Bro that caught me so off guard
Love all of your content. I've learned so much and it's kept me happy during so many hard times. Thanks for all of the work!
Agreed.
Thanks a bunch for giving me something to be Thankful for this Thanksgiving Geetsly's. I was wondering so much why you weren't putting more of my comments on your channel.
Ozzel definitely is even worse than most Jedi, aside from that conehead.
Guess this mission an battle clarify if Ozzel was incompetent or not... whether he DELIBERATELY tipped off the Hoff Rebels in Ep4 or not..
God, I remember reading this one back in the day. Thanks for the memories, I had forgotten about it till now.
You wonder how the members of the 501st legion didn't have missing eyes
If you're asking about kind of obscure Clone Wars era battles, I've said it before I'll say it again, there's always the blink-and-you-miss-them battles from the montages in Chapter 22 of the 2003 Clone Wars Micro-series, or maybe the Battle of Merson.
Also, question, if the Republic didn't care about the civilians, then why send some of the best and kind-hearted Jedi who would want and try to save the civilians instead of sending someone who would just focus on getting what they want, the Agrocite, no matter the cost? Was no one else available or was this one of Palpatine's usual plays to get a neutral or former CIS world to join the Republic by sending some of the best Jedi and Clones there to make the people think the Republic was the good guys because of the noble and heroic acts of the Jedi and Clones like he did with the people on Ondoron to get them back in the Republic?
He probably can't micromanage on that level, not for an entire galaxy when he has so many other things to take care of. It does not matter much what the population of one planet thinks in the end, especially as you can employ propaganda agents to spin things the way you want later.
I don't think he can micromanage on that level, not for a galaxy scale conflict. It probably does not matter to him what the population of one planet thinks in the end, especially since he can employ propaganda agents to spin things the way he wants later. Most of the population won't even meet the Jedi in question anyway.
Don't know what they were thinking this definitely should have been a episode in the clone wars show
Glorious lore
Nitpick on Ozzel: after being put directly under Darth Vader he survived THREE YEARS, even after screwing up at least once (Vader said Ozzel had failed him FOR THE LAST TIME, after all). He clearly was competent enough at the administrative part of being an admiral (something Darth Vader would have no patience for)... It was when he tried to be an actual military officer that he was a disaster. And Vader ultimately decided that not having to do the administrative part of running Death Squadron wasn't worth the trouble of keeping Ozzel around...
The Senate had even MORE grit.
Lmao that introduction
Ozzel is the definition of a butter bar
The fact that the only mistake Ozzel didn't make due to sheer incompetency was the final assault on the production facility due to comm jammers only makes his idiocy worse. He made like 14 tactical decisions in that battle. 13 decisions failed due to being an idiot, and only 1 was due to lack of communication. Jeez
Cool vido as always but....
Khorne?!
BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD-wait.
Oh...."Khorm" ¬_¬
I thought i couldn’t hate that incompetent Ozzel anymore, but this battle proved me wrong…
Can you touch up on how time varies from planet to just cruising around space.
Darkness of Korn.
I'm sorry, I had to.
Love this story
How does long distance communication over light-years of distance work in Star Wars?
What comic is this from?
Ozzel deserved what happened to him at the hands of Vader. He should have been disposed of much sooner than that though, somewhere around this point.
👍
👍👍👍👍👍
Like the guys, but alas, my need to stay true to Legends CWMMP lore may force me to demote them to extras in case I may get a hand on them.
Even worse in case they actually get wiped out in the middle of the war because Plo Koon had to be preoccupied on some other front, like stopping Durge's Lance. Some may think of this mistreatment, but no, that's exactly how clone forces in that continuity work.
Legends is still flawed.
@@merafirewing6591 Flawed, but far more consistent and easily memorable at its best and finest moments, and that's a fair trade.
Nah lets be honest the grittyest planet wolfpack went to was the one with my guy king manchucho now that was gritty lol
