I got a question. How much nitric acid do you add when you pull out silver and base metals from the gold? And how much nitric acid do you add in aqua regia? How much hydrochloric acid? How much sodium metabisulfite?
It will depend on the size of the batch. 1.5 ounces will take maybe 400ml to 600ml of nitric to remove all the silver. Five ounces may Ray 3/4 to a full liter. I don’t measure it. I just keep going until the solution remains colorless. I can dissolve an ounce of pure gold powder with 150ml hydrochloric and 15ml to 18ml nitric. SMB, I just add it until all the gold comes down. Four ounces of gold - ten spoons. One ounce of gold three spoons. These are all estimations. I never measure it. I just go by the seat of my pants based on my experience.
@@sreetips do you have a reason you have reason to not have done so? I’m just curious. I have been reading about it. It would be nice if someone could figure out how to use it to test for gold (if possible)
Sreetips I think although these❤😂❤ watches may have been expensive in them self when new, I can't see anything realy werth much. To me this is and I don't mean any disrespect, just a other 100 Dollar lot. The Hamilton may go for 200 it self, but it isn't anything realy exciting. The Waltham AWC is somthimg that when completely serviced and refurbished with a new wristband will fetch 200 as whel but as a lot I predict it's more of a spares and repair lot. I hope that it's ging to fetch some money for you and wish you good luck. I'm speaking from a collectors point of vue.
That’s quite alright. I save them out and let them accumulate. Then when I have a few I sell them. It will pay my light bill this month. And for that, I’m grateful.
@@sreetips I'm sure Someone will get pleasure from it. It's kind of you putting lots like that together letting the people deside what they are going to give you for it. Its ridiculous how much you have to pay on top for evrething. I bought a second hand watch for 20 dollars and ended up paying 70 dollars for it including transport and charges. For a watch werth 30 lol so now I'm stuck with it because nobody want to pay me the difference. Lol. I'm thinking about giving it away if I find someone in urgent need for a wristwatch.

How come you're selling 1oz of silver crystal on your Ebay for over $100? One would think you'd be selling it at spot if you're not even planning on smelting it.
One reason: silver is grossly undervalued and selling it for spot would be cheating myself. I don’t have to sell it. I really don’t want to let at go for thirty bucks. That would be very foolish of me.
@@sreetips It may be true that silver is undervalued, but you're basically selling silver, that requires a costly process to turn into a form with more liquidity, for 3 times more than spot with just a suggestion that it might be worth that much later, it just doesn't seem like a smart business practice. If you are able to sell it for $5 or $10 over spot I don't think you would be cheating yourself.
This isn’t my business, this is my hobby. I don’t want to sell it. I want to accumulate it. I’m buying (just bought about twenty five hundred bucks worth today), not selling. I traded paper dollars, that are declining, for silver that’s rising. It’s a no-brainer. It would be foolish to sell my silver with the spot price so low. And trading my valuable silver, for paper, is not too smart either.
@@sreetips We'll just have to agree to disagree. In my view the only reason you would buy gold and silver is to maintain value that you can eventually trade in for more fiat, because an illiquid asset isn't doing a lot for you when you need funds
@@sreetips I think that massively overvaluing what you have, when you have a youtube channel where you basically just show people how pretty these metals are, is very irresponsible and strange.
I enjoy your videos a lot! I’ve began refining gold at home because of your videos! I’ve learned so much, I’m on my 3rd ounce! I recently acquired a catalytic converter from an old car I was junking, and wanted to ask if you have ever tried refining one of these for the rhodium and platinum metals? I’ve never done it, I’m doing some research online but would also love to hear any advice you could give. Thanks for your videos and keep them coming! lol
Marshall from UA-cam Channel Wrist Watch Revival could fix those up real good!
Warm up the blow torch and mould cavity! 🔥⌚️🔥
Thank you for not killing these watches that might just need a little tlc
I thought the same thing.
بسیار عالی
ساعت های نوستالژیک 👍🏽
I love your channel. I would say I’m an alchemy nerd. Your channel fasinates me❤
I really like that Buick with the eagle 🦅 very cool .
Always love me a good vintage bulova! Wiah my wrists were a little smaller though
I just got my dads long lost Bulova Accutron tuneing fork watch , im so happy
Those are fantastic
Interesting to see these watches 👍🏻
The mens hamilton and bulova are definitely the most expensive out of that lot and would be worth selling individually
Whel fully serviced and refurbished they could bring 200 bucks each but as is as spare and repair lot, although working.... not much.
Thank you for this opportunity sir six stars
Excellent video 🎉
