- The 7/11 clerk told this woman that her coupon expired, and that she could download the app for discounts. She didn’t understand what he was saying, or didn’t know what an “app” was, and she turned frustrated and racist. This happened 06/02/2020 uneducated ignorant people do things like this everyday. If you see something happening that you don’t think is right, racism, bigotry, violence, or theft PLEASE say something when it matters no matter what.

If I walked into a place that had a way cheaper price for something displayed than what I was charged at the register, I'd probably put it back personally unless it was an emergency situation where I needed it, and then I might probably go to dollar tree instead or ask why it says the wrong price. But depending on a few factors it might be reasonable to assume they're not from here. First you've gotta make sure you read correctly, and now you know you didn't mess up with the price, then you've gotta see if it's a lack of understanding on their behalf. Maybe you don't have to find out if it's because they're dumb or if it's because they're simply not familiar with local culture or language, but it may seem fairly obvious depending on a few factors. If I walked into a store an there was literally an extraterrestrial being trying to buy something with alien currency and not agreeing on price...it's probably because he doesn't understand the currency, language or culture. Obviously it's not a great thing to make the assumption, but at the same time, it is a possibility. Should she have been an ass about it instead of trying to see if she misunderstood or if he did? No. She should've tried to fix the problem respectfully. I'm not trying to justify her actions, I'm just trying to say that its reasonable to wonder why theres a misunderstanding and try to rule out possibilities to come to the truth.
