I kind of already knew that Mr. Grizz was going to be the antagonist since Splatoon 2. The guy was suspicious as hell, we never really knew what he wanted the golden eggs for, and hell he never appeared in the flesh at all. Either speaking through the radio or that was just an automated message for workers idk. But yeah, happy they didn't follow the "DJ Octavio Villain" thing again and I like the fact that he finally teamed up with the others. Further cementing the bridge between Inklings and the Octarians from Octo Expansion.

I wonder that the Great Zapfish is slowly weakening. It was mentioned back at Splatoon 2 and now 3 the Great Zapfish is getting smaller, which seems to be caused by the massive withdraw of power from the Great Zapfish by the people who use it to power their super weapons . I wonder if in later DLC or game they will have the players try to restore the Zapfish health back to normal.

While never stated they were "brainwashed", they definitely were indoctrinated. Its said any octoling who hears calamari inkantation has a epiphany and instantly defects from the Octarian Army. Thats what happened to Marina and what happened to 8. So they're not mind controlled but propaganda and conditioning made them completely loyal to Octavios cause and made them think the Inklings were the enemy. The weird powers of the Inkantation break this conditioning and make them want to see the world for what it is and not what Octavio conditioned them to think.

This was an awesome timeline video! There were a few cracks, but those were already filled by some of the comments. All I want to know now is how or if Agent 4 and Agent 8 will be integrated in the DLC. After the octoling migration, Agent 4 accepted Agent 8 as a citizen of Inkopolis and the two of them are roommates. As seen in official artwork, 4 got to hang out with Off the Hook- and 8 with the Squid Sisters, so they all know each other. Perhaps 4 and 8 will operate in the DLC as a duo? Only time will tell...
Note: The Octolings don't wear hypnoshades. Those goggles just projects different bits of data and a hud for them. He only actually used hypnoshades on Callie.
Holy crud i didn't expect the lore to be so dense. I never really got into this series but the lore seems pretty interesting, though there were parts you talked about briefly I wanted to know more about, like the humans. The whole WW5 thing is pretty interesting too tho considering it's an E game I doubt Nintendo would ever go into that. Still surprised the world held out 2 more world wars tho, like dang
Yeah no this game has always had lore like this since the first game, most of it found through the game’s collectibles called sunken scrolls. The information he mentioned about the humans is really everything most important to what happened that led to their extinction and eventual evolution of the octolings, but if you are interested in knowing more about the history of the humans, look up a video of all the Alterna Logs from Splatoon 3
i love how much The story evolved it went from just fighting a long lost enemy underground to going in space with the help of eels, sharks and a manta ray to defeat a huge grizzly bear and the previous villan comes up to space while a new remix of calamari inkcantation is playing and you also turn your small fish into a bigger fish to fight the grizzly bear. *Amazing*

@@edenmairay60 honestly, aside from some of the target levels, none of the levels really gave me much trouble. I've died more times on the post game level then my whole playthrough of the base story mode combined, mostly from the bitch octolings.

I realized that while we didn’t let Order to win, it seems that there was a way for us to make the Salmonids our allies, since the Octolings became allies first in Splatoon 2, and if the DLC for Splatoon 3 focuses on what would happen if Order were to win, we could see a proper future planned up for all living sea creatures on land, and more species to choose on becoming.
as far as we know they made 2 songs with the band wet socks after finding them on tour (it's still debated whether its a collaboration or they are members now), its pretty much confirmed pearl and marina will be major characters in the "large scale paid DLC" since the silhouette of their wet socks album can be seen alongside the bit confirming it will arrive
It’s a bit confusing; The only noticeable change is that the radio changes to have the fish biting the bear. However, there are still the same-ish messages for Salmon Run. Which means that the theory of it being automated messages may be correct, or not.
I can’t wait to see what else comes of splatoon 3, maybe a dlc where order won the last splatfest and we deal w that, or something else big will be great to see! I personally cannot wait to see what happens

Oh that's interesting I never expected to see that weird mantaray boss from Mario Sunshine again. Now that I think about it I wonder if Sunshine was in part what inspired Splatoon.
1:29 The octoling walking in the room we see for like a second was made by John Sandwich, a pretty skilled 3D animator.
This was an awesome timeline video! There were a few cracks, but those were already filled by some of the comments. All I want to know now is how or if Agent 4 and Agent 8 will be integrated in the DLC. After the octoling migration, Agent 4 accepted Agent 8 as a citizen of Inkopolis and the two of them are roommates. As seen in official artwork, 4 got to hang out with Off the Hook- and 8 with the Squid Sisters, so they all know each other. Perhaps 4 and 8 will operate in the DLC as a duo? Only time will tell...
Great video I don't know about you but I find it kinda hard to believe that Splatoon 3 takes place 5 years after Splatoon 2 but it is what it is

Note: The Octolings don't wear hypnoshades. Those goggles just projects different bits of data and a hud for them. He only actually used hypnoshades on Callie.
Holy crud i didn't expect the lore to be so dense. I never really got into this series but the lore seems pretty interesting, though there were parts you talked about briefly I wanted to know more about, like the humans.
The whole WW5 thing is pretty interesting too tho considering it's an E game I doubt Nintendo would ever go into that. Still surprised the world held out 2 more world wars tho, like dang
Yeah no this game has always had lore like this since the first game, most of it found through the game’s collectibles called sunken scrolls. The information he mentioned about the humans is really everything most important to what happened that led to their extinction and eventual evolution of the octolings, but if you are interested in knowing more about the history of the humans, look up a video of all the Alterna Logs from Splatoon 3
i love how much The story evolved it went from just fighting a long lost enemy underground to going in space with the help of eels, sharks and a manta ray to defeat a huge grizzly bear and the previous villan comes up to space while a new remix of calamari inkcantation is playing and you also turn your small fish into a bigger fish to fight the grizzly bear. *Amazing*

@@gameasasin oh God yeah it gets really hard at the end, tho I haven't finished all the levels because how hard they are and might go back to them one and a while.
@@edenmairay60 honestly, aside from some of the target levels, none of the levels really gave me much trouble. I've died more times on the post game level then my whole playthrough of the base story mode combined, mostly from the bitch octolings.
@@gameasasin Just finished every level and the story 15 minutes ago. have only 5 or 4 left to finish the catalog too. And yes i agree, its annoyingly hard but like Marie said: "The tough keeps grinding." Now I'm heading out to rank up in global. 😄✌
Just as a fyi the octolings where never mindcontroled by octavio only agent 1 was (because most octolings even marina still respect him)

@@Mccuddley the music didn't have anything to do with either, octarians were most likely just fed propaganda by octavio, but the calamari inkantation seems to make them realise the propaganda isn't true, maybe its the lyrics, we don't know exactly
@@ThatCosmohoganyMelon Seeing how the song is somehow ENGRAINED into marine animal dna, (Maybe because the humans before they got turned into crystal memory gem things probably sung the song and was engraved into marine dna when they were absorbed by the marine animals.) Maybe the song in of itself give any inkling or octoling that FRESH mentality to rise to the surface like the humans in alterna.
Or maybe the song is actually just brainwashing octarians or other marine life, who knows!

I realized that while we didn’t let Order to win, it seems that there was a way for us to make the Salmonids our allies, since the Octolings became allies first in Splatoon 2, and if the DLC for Splatoon 3 focuses on what would happen if Order were to win, we could see a proper future planned up for all living sea creatures on land, and more species to choose on becoming.
You forgot inner agent 3, but otherwise this video is great.

as far as we know they made 2 songs with the band wet socks after finding them on tour (it's still debated whether its a collaboration or they are members now), its pretty much confirmed pearl and marina will be major characters in the "large scale paid DLC" since the silhouette of their wet socks album can be seen alongside the bit confirming it will arrive
They are still in inkopolis the current city is completely new.
Oh yeah one other thing to say, New Agent 3 can also be an octoling.

The only noticeable change is that the radio changes to have the fish biting the bear.
However, there are still the same-ish messages for Salmon Run. Which means that the theory of it being automated messages may be correct, or not.
Well, the Inklings are surprisingly corrupt...
Actually about that when they sing the calamari inkantion is so blasting and so banging that snaps out all the octolings

Did the great zap fish even serve a purpose in splatoon 3? It’s disappearance is the first thing we hear about and then it isn’t mentioned again at all until then end where it somehow is returned. Did Grizz take it? What did he need it for?
As you're going up the rocket in the finale, you see that Grizz is using the Zapfish to power the rocket.
