What other grimdark Custodes do you want to see? This is a slightly upgraded and updated version of my old grimdark Custodes: ua-cam.com/video/ndwWIOLwngA/v-deo.html

Is there an interesting option for painting it black? I think everyone can do regular black, but real grimdark is an art

Anything, but yes black. I wanted to do my characters a different Color than bronze but have not been able to come up with anything that is looking good on its own but also complements the squad they are attached to.

@@ОлегЦыкоза-р7б Absolutely. I love painting black and do both cold and warm black on different armies. I can do Shadowkeepers next.

@@MikePhumanautBlack it is then! Let's hope Shadowkeepers are a good detachment with the new codex coming up.

I will love to see your grimdark spin in the already grimdark Iron Warriors. I always had trouble trying to make them stand out

That's a good idea. They are very hard to do since they are so monochromatic and have little to work with. Lots of rust I guess 🤔 I'll add it to the list of minis to paint.

I definitely liked it a lot more before the streaking grime 😅 gonna be using this guide though for when the new box drops

I am sure you're not the only one! 😀 I would just drybrush the armour a bit brighter if you don't use the streaking grime to get it to pop a bit more.

Great minds think alike, mine are basically the same, except I have a more red purple and slightly more yellow bronze.
And the same motivation, "like they've been fighting for ten thousand years." 😂

How would one go about using streaking grime with un-helmeted models. Would it be too overpowering? I thought about painting them seperate, but then they look too clean 😔 any handy trick or tips for it?

I would dilute it heavily so it only settles in the recesses. That way you can have similar shading, but not so much dirt on the skin. It's pretty normal that you would keep your skin cleaner than your armour after all. If there is dirt in your face you'll wipe it off a bit, right?
