Most likely your Cisco Access Point device is blinking blue to indicate a software update is in progress.
To minimize network outages and get rid of bugs, your Cisco AP will regularly conduct software updates. When upgrading, the device's LED light will flash blue, which is not a cause for alarm. The best you can do is wait for the update to finish. If the blinking persists for hours and hours, consider that something else may be amiss.
Your AP could be connected to a patch panel, resulting in the blinking blue light.
If you have multiple APs, you may have a patch panel installed to connect the various devices to electric sockets. While it may be more convenient to monitor and test circuits with them with the patch, many Cisco APs misbehave when their consoles connect to switches. Here is how to rectify the issue:
• Switch off all the devices connected to the patch panel.
• Unplug the AP from the panel or switch.
• Power cycle the AP and check if the LED blue light is gone.
