- Welcome to Top 5 Missing Factions from Empire Total War.
In this video, we will look into Factions that could have been and would have worked well with the game.
These are factions that I would want to have seen, for either historical, or gameplay reasons.
Overall though, I am Not saying Empire Total War is a Bad Game because it lacks these. Nor am I saying these Factions will improve the game. But they could have been interesting.

Great points on all but i would just add at least more indian faction. Two Indian factionfactions for Indian subcontinent is just to few considering it was more than just Maratha and Moghul at this time period, now, tbh i cant really remember just now which one i would add maybe Delhi or mewar, malwa something like that ( i read on uni about that literally years ago and our history education is eurocentric anyway so dont judge me to harsh 😋)

If wallachia and moldavia, would be here, Hungary would be here also, because also as a Nation didnt declined just becamed the part of the Habsburg crown, also like Pomerenia. Or neither of those , and would becamed as the Part of the Austrian faction!Also the Moldavian, flag is may inaccurate, it was the same colours of Transilvanya. If you researching something, do it better mate!
It's a good change, with some interresting opputunities. I personal would had like a more expanded map for south america (Brasil!) and the complete Arabic Pennisular, maybe even including the Ethiopia - Region. (I dont know, IF Ethiopia would work as an Faction, but it would be interresting, as another christian orthodox Faktion and for an Ottoman playthrough)

The flag that you used for Tuscany is the modern republican region one: it would be interesting if the it would become the actual flag in the game after a revolution!
The starting flag for Tuscany should be a simplified version of the Medici's Grand Duchy of Tuscany

There should be an event in 1737 when the last Medici dies, and you get a dilemma of either accepting a takeover by the Hasburgs forcing you to become a protectorate of Austria-Hungary or rebel in attempt to become a republic
Troops of Romanian Principalities in the 18th century:
-Drabants of the Voievode's Guard (elite infantry of Wallachians and Moldavians)
-Seimeni of the Voievode (line infantry of Serbian mercenaries)
-Cossack Regiments of the Voievode
-Arnauts (Light infantry of Albanian mercs)
- Vanatori (elite riflemen)
-Strajers (border troops, similar to Spanish frontiersmen and Austrian grenzers)
- Haiduks (irregulars, guerillas)
-Wallachian Boyars (already in the game)
-Rosiori (Medium cavalry of Wallachian and Moldavian gentry)
-Calarasi (Light cavalry)
I think the factions that needed to be in the game would be the Sioux.

I'm still pissed at the game for consolidating all of France and all of Spain into one region, not to mention exclude most part of the world.
And? the reason they kicked most of the world as their was no major violent interactions with Europe
I would of chosen the Uzbeks as a playable faction because they were a regular pain for Persia and Russia

From my perspective Europe is pretty awesome, perhaps Venice as a great faction with bonus to diplomacy, perhaps Portugal with bonus to trade, and Switzerland sounds interesting but not sure how to make them special. United Provinces with cheaper ships.
India needs at least another 2 factions is a big and wealthy map and just two guys with one of them winning almost always.
For America we can accelerate history to make the game more interesting...perhaps the thirteen colonies starting as an ally of England but with affinity to France, Mexico starting at 3/4 of the campaign with affinity to France (France almost always lost they territories in America, so at least for me sounds not so broken).
And Pirates as a playable faction with a global bonus at campaign movement and faster units, also cheaper units but weaker in every other aspect...all the units.

Personally this is why I prefer Napoleon Total War over Empire. The map of Europe is more broken up with different nations and regions, leading to more interesting alliances. Still love Empire though.
Would be better for me if there was Hetman state arouund Kyiv(Kiev) and part of Kyiv region and part of Crimea made another region and there would be other Zaporozhian Sich faction
Cool idea, it would start as Russian protectorate and would have the same units as Khanate of Crimea.

@@mykyta-t7b I don't know. There are already cossack infantry and cavlary. They would be minor faction so I don't see any possibilities. If you think that they should have extra units then write it below.
@@ppp-vz1mi they should change skins, at least for Ukraine, to make them more accurate and make them look local. About units, imho, they should add: 1.serdiuks-hetman's bodyguard; 2.add register cossacks, that would be more organized then ordinary cossacks; 3. plastuns- cossack jägers; 4. They must change fighting style, cossack cavalry must fight like dragoons or at least like carabineers.

I would add the Don Cossacks, the Crimean Khanate in the east so as not to overpower Russia. Add more Hindu factions and maybe a Sikh faction in India. More Native American tribes. Maybe a Blackbeard the Pirate faction in the Caribbean. Also would add more German and Italian states.

I tried a mod to play as Hungary (as a Hungarian IRL). It was fun, but the units/generals speak German. :D

i feel like India needs a few factions like Bengal so Maratha doesn't have it so easy.
and to go of your idea of filling in north america, the Comanche/Apache confederation or something like that, so Spain has to divert some attention there so Spain's enemies like Portugal and the Netherlands can have some breathing space.
and to also have some something to attack Spanish america from south america direction but it's hard to think of what as indigenous resistance what low during that century.
also the pirate faction needs to be worldwide but split into factions so it's not some 1 op faction.
or something in Kazakhstan other then a random desert.
I just started empire for the first time. Really fun. Always loved Napoleon and I do miss some of its improvements. But the scale and variety in empire is rivaled by only Warhammer 2.

Ukraine, as represented accurately in the Hetmanate Total War mod would be a good idea, the Ukrainian Hetman, Ivan Mazepa was an ally of the Swedish during the Great Northern War.

More territories for France. I mean they are literally just... ONE city.
The only faction from this list they really should have included is Switzerland, the others are less important. Tuscany, Wallachia and Moldova would have been nice, though.
AT that time switzerland was not officially neutral but was keeping out of wars, except their mecenaries and was not really attacked since the peace of westphalia until Napoleon. While an interesting choice it would be less historical than expected, as the neutral not traversable land is quit accurate until a Napoleonic invasion.
I know that this is not Empire, but Age Of Charlemagne should have Bulgaria.

The list was a nightmare to put together. Empire already covers almost everyone, and we have to stay to historical accuracy and the map, so there was not much more that could be done.
@@MelkorGG well, I forgot about those conditions.
I am a history guy and haven't heard of many of the factions, maybe that is just lack of knowledge.
But don't let any such comments discourage you becuz it's just our opinion and you have many more fans with the same opinion as yours
