The "whatever cover works" mentality was used frequently with Hendrix, especially since his catalog has changed hands several times. Those covers you show @ 5:20? I've seen almost all of those covers arts, between vinyl, cassette and CD, on various different albums over the years on ACTUAL, released legally, different versions of Hendrix albums. They're damn near interchangeable. Prime e.g. the last Electric Ladyland cover art that you show, is the official cover art that Reprise Records used on CD copies of Axis Bold as Love releases, during the late 1990s.... In the list does go on.
The photographer tells the story in the Rhino Records classic album series, Electric Lady Land, DVD.
Thanks. I was wondering about all that; if they were all different pressings, or what.
Great Album cover, best of all Hendrix
