I wanted to know how to cut pineapple. But your video on how to cut pineapple ended me up here. Never knew we can make use of pineapple skin for a drink. Thank you so much .
Thanks for this wonderful recipe! Came here from the four ways of cutting pineapple video because I just bought one, and this is such a brilliant idea!
This is awesome! I was about to cut up a pineapple and decided to search different ways to cut it and came across your pineapple cutting video. Will definitely try this in the AM for sure! Thank you! Yes, frozen pineapple is definitely the best treat!
We make a pineapple skin drink like this in Jamaica. 💖 I like to make mines with cloves, allspice, ginger, hibiscus (known as Sorrel in Jamaica or fleur de Jamaica in Mexico) and cardamom pods. I Make it without sweetener then when I pour myself a drink I sweeten that cup. It helps me to not over sweeten and everyone can choose their own level of sweetness.
Me too. I remember my big sister making this drink when I was a child but no one makes it here anymore. Now I'm gonna teach them all. No more throwing pineapple skin away in my kitchen.
I’m so glad I watched both the slicing of the pineapple and making a drink from the skins. I’m down to an overripe apple and orange and a very very overripe but sweet pineapple during this COV19. I don’t want to waste a thing! I cleaned and halved my pineapple and shared it with a neighbor who can slice it herself, and now I’m boiling the skin. So excited to be learning and doing a new thing, thank you! 🍍
Thank you! I always feel bad wasting pineapple skin because I didn't know what to do with them. I am so excited to make this because pineapple is my favourite! Thank you, Siri! You are so fun to watch! 🙂❤️
Had 2 so just made 2/3, it turned out good. Just a little sweet but next time will put less brown sugar. Thank you for this video. Seen your video how to cut and it worked great.
I made this today! It is so good! I canned 2 quarts of it and had a glass extra. Like it warm too. Now I will be buying pineapples all the time when they come on sale. The fruit I canned also. Thank you for a new drink that is delicious!
Thank you sooooo much for this information. I was searching for how to use melon skins, and all I can find is how to use the white part of the fruit. I didn't even think to ask the question of how to use pineapple skins, and now I can't imagine why I never thought of it. This has an added bonus of keeping us citrus-heads from over-acidifying our compost heaps. I am going to also use this as a second-fermentation in my kombucha, which will be absolutely wonderful I think and a great use of the sugars to make fizziness since my body doesn't love the sugars on their own. As a person who does not know many languages I know I am missing out on so much information online. Thank you very much for sharing your insights in an English-language format for those of us who do not have access to some others
Very interesting. I can't wait to try it. Love your pineapple cutting as well. Thank you for sharing your techniques. I love it. Love your channel as well.
I’m very excited to make & taste the pineapple skin drink 🤗! Thank you for the information & demonstration. You are as sweet as the drink is sure to be. Have a lovely day!
Was really excited when I first saw this recipe I was so excited I ran to my pineapple in my kitchen. It was totally bad. Now a week later I made this. Soooo good
Thank you for sharing ways to cut pineapples. Can't wait to try. One thing though, How do you clean the skins? Just rinse them off or how do you do that?
Place in clean water for 30 minutes and use the water to water plants. Then if you want to add some salt like three tablespoons for three pineapples in new water and wait for ten minutes and throw away the salty water. Then you can continue with the boiling mentioned in the video.
Thank you. I’ve been tossing all this wonderful skin for years. (But I do plant the Tops to get more pineapples) I did not know you could make a drink out of the skins. Wow! I have one pineapple right now, I’m sure I can make a one pineapple skin drink? Yes.
oh wow this looks delicious, i cant imagine adding all the extra, but wow!! i try this one, what do you do with the excess, do you do a facial with it?
Thank you so much for this wonderful drink. My question is do I need to wait till the skin turn yellow and I did not see how you wash the pineapples of some dirt from the farm.
สวัสดีครับ. Very interesting video and tutorial. I will surely try this wonderful method myself as it is such a waste to discard the skins, especially when they have so much to offer. Thank you very much for sharing your knowledge and experience with us. God Bless You. สวัสดีตอนเช้าครับ. 🇮🇳🙏🌹
