In Jamaica we blend the ginger and boil it with skin. When it is cooked we blend everything skin and all then add brown sugar a pinch of salt to taste and a dash of good old JA white rum. Delish
I'm going to try this! Been watching and a fan for 'bout six years now. Because of you...my curry chicken is most requested now! Even had my coworker who hails from Trini say it tasted like she was back home! Thanks for all the knowledge you provide!
I literally just cut up a pineapple..and threw away the core and skin when i could have done this😕..i also like the way you cut up the pineapple! Great job...thanx for this.
Thank you for this! I tried making it with a blender before I saw your recipe, and didn't know you had to strain it nor that you coild boil the skins. Also appreciate that you explain why you put the sugar in - I will be trying with and without. Cheers!
I grind the softened skin with ginger, an orange, half a lemon and a bit of turmeric. I strain it thoroughly and serve it over it with a honey straw! You’re leaving all those vitamins from the skin Chris!
I’m from the states and I’ve been making my fresh juices like this for years, I do use the pulp for muffins, breads and smoothies. I do not use sugar I only use honey.
I had a friend who was an Agriculture Officer in Sangre Grande with a pineapple farm. On Fridays when I was leaving Grande aka " Cunap" I used to take 6 beautiful pineapples home and I remember my mother taking the skin and putting it in a glass bottle with warm water and the taste of that pineapple juice awesome

When I was in Cuba the lady in place I was staying made me this every morning! I've tried to make it myself. I was going wrong by not straining it. Thanks!!

Chris we made this a few days ago, the only thing I did different was add a little lime juice, and I kept the pulp in the juice... refreshing great recipe, thanks for sharing ❤️🍴
Question... my mum would use the skin to make a juice, she is since passed and I can't remember how she make it. All I remember is that she would set it on the counter to let it set. Any ideas?
