En halua missata seuraavaa videotasi. 😀 Hope that I got it correct. "I don't want to miss your next video", I tried the word translator and then I copied and pasted....Very nice video. Kiitos
I feel very grateful that you have created so many helpful videos, it's very valuable for us! kiitos tosi paljon, toivon sulle kaikkea hyvää ja odotan aina seuraavia videoita 🥰
Hi Kat! How are you? I hope you're doing great. Your videos are mesmerising and very helpful for people who don't know anything about Finnish. Thank you very much for all the time you spend on creating them. Now I discovered that the pronunciation is much easier than I thought!!! Have a great day, best wishes from Argentina.

Moikka!! Mä opiskelen nyt suomea. Ja mä haluan opiskelen lisää suomeksi kieltä. Actually im really confused of " past tense form ".... It would be great if u given a chance to explain it more and clearly... Kiitos paljon 🙏
Joo, we have already that words in our studies... But it really confused for us of changing the words 😅 but anyway really appreciated that u noticed my comment 🙏.... Kiitos paljon.... Hyvää päivä 😊
Thanks for the lesson. I have one question. Is there a difference between minä haluan and minä tahdon? Is tahdon a verb? Does it have an infinitive form?
hei :] I read somewhere that it isn't common to say "please" with these sorts of phrases, is this the most 'polite' way to ask for something? or is there an "I would like"? Like in french, je veux vs je voudrais
Finnish doesn't really have a direct word for please so this already sounds polite enough for everyday use. But if you want to sound like you are saying please the closest in Finnish would be to add -isi (this works with most verbs) so haluan -> haluaisin, haluat -> haluaisit
Super late. I’m using Duolingo and mango languages. People rip on Duolingo but for me it’s good for getting you at least handling the languages so you can eventually figure out some more, but it’s not enough for a lot of people. Mango is less comprehensive (I think) but more like a classroom setting, and like $8 USD. On top of that I’m using a VPN set to Finland so I can watch tv in a language I speak (all one of them) but with Finnish subtitles, which works for me because I can’t help but try and break some words apart
@@KatChatsFinnish I walked from Kilpisjärvi to Saana, hiked to the top of Saana, then walked back to Kilpisjärvi.... and missed my bus to Rovaniemi -.- lol
Short & sweet but informational.
Glad it helped

I have a video dedicated to the past tense!
But to say this phrase in past tense it would be:
Minä/Mä halusin
Minä/Mä en halunnut

tahtoa is a verb! The meaning is pretty much the same, tahtoa has maybe a slightly stronger connotation

Are there any apps you may recommend to learn Finnish?
