    Finnish is an awesome language! All those little endings or cases at the end of words can say so much.
    This is a great lesson. I have been wondering about these variations for a good while and now starting to understand better. I think i already figured out the difference between tämä and tässä. Like tässä videossa.... whatever, for example.

    Excellent instruction as always! Could it also be said that täältä ( from here) and tänne (to here ) forms of the word täällä, always replace the prepositions "from" and "to" , following the Finnish way of including prepositions in the noun forms?

      Opi tämä kaunis kieli, ajattele positiivisesti. Toista sanoja, kuuntele videoita suomeksi, lue kommentteja suomeksi, olen 54-vuotias, olen tšekki, ja myös tšekin kielirakenne on erilainen. Se on haastavaa, mutta se tekee hyvää aivoille, se on harjoittelua. Mutta ajan myötä käy ilmi, että ymmärrät kieltä ja sitten enemmän ja enemmän. Pyrkimys = itsensä palkitseminen.
      Impara questa bellissima lingua, pensa positivo. Ripeti parole, ascolta video in finlandese, leggi commenti in finlandese, ho 54 anni, sono Ceco e anche la struttura del ceco è diversa. È impegnativo, ma fa bene al cervello, è esercizio. Ma col tempo si scopre che capisci la lingua e poi sempre di più. Sforzo = auto-ricompensa.

    Question, are you more American than Finnish in the way you interact with ppl you don't know. I keep hearing how non expressive Fins are .Judging by the Finnish movies I have been exposed to, it seems to mirror that seriousness, humorless stature, so serious and I have to say that Finnish logic can border on silly judging by some of their movies

    • @KatChatsFinnish
      @KatChatsFinnish  7 місяців тому

      I guess it depends who I'm interacting with, if I'm with Finns I'll be more Finnish to suit the situation. Of course the movies I think exaggerate a little, but there is a hint of truth to it too

    • @jsigur157
      @jsigur157 7 місяців тому

      @@KatChatsFinnish Any movies to recommend? When I put down the movies, please don't take that as a slight against Finland. I don't expect the industry to be as elaborate as those who moreless invented cinema in Hollywood, with the huge financial backing it has had.
      My impression is that its assumed in Finland that everyone is extremely honest but I question the logic of the honesty say like in the movie streamed on MHZ called "Replacements" . I was somewhat astounded that they would release something like that, not to mention streamers paying for the rights to stream.
      I would be curious if that kind of logic portrayed would be considered "normal"
      Obviously, your American influence has bypassed all of that.
      The movie is from 2016, so a bit dated!
      The related question as to language is what do you dream in which basically would define your 1st language (assuming its only one language)
      and again please don't take Finnish offense to my observations. If I was younger and thinking like I do now, the Nordic countries would be 1st on my list to move to (because America ain't what it used to be) with my greatest curiosity aimed at Finland.
      and if I didn't make it plain before, thank you for responding......your channel brightens my day
