I know a lot of people say that what Tim Tebow did on that slant route to the late great Demaryius Thomas against Pittsburgh almost anybody can throw that pass but you have to have good timing on that throw, if you throw too late the ball will end up behind your receiver and if you throw too early the ball will be too far ahead of your receiver and you’ll be liable to getting him killed by a linebacker or a safety in that area. Yeah the play was simple but Tim in at least the only time in his entire NFL career put the ball exactly where Demaryius could catch it and then turn up field for a long touchdown. The rest of the play was Demaryius’s pure speed outrunning the entire Steelers defense.
It’s not that people are knocking the throw. It’s right on the money. It’s that UGLY and unbelievably slow throwing motion. That windup is ridiculous for a throw that short. Having mechanics like that is how you throw picks in the NFL.
