Could this cause the AC to blow hot air? I have the same issue as of a couple days ago, A few months ago I had the water pump replaced and they said they replaced the thermostat as it "fell apart" when they removed it so I'm hesitant to think its the thermostat. I'm going to replace the radiator sensor in the mean time, see if that helps, already did the engine coolant sensor and according to my obd2 reader the engine isn't overheating at all. Seems like one issue after another with these bloody merivas 😂 You're my go to channel in that regard.
The thermostat was replaced recently on this car as well but it had failed prematurely because it was a cheap one. It now has a genuine vauxhall one. The AC not blowing cold sounds like a separate issue? I don't want to send you on a wild goose chase though as I can't be certain.
@@baconbutttiesI have a feeling they didn't replace the housing for the thermostat. Going to give them a call in the morning and I'll let you know what happens when it's all fixed. Thanks again for the reply.
@@baconbuttties Well, thanks again kind sir. I got it back into the same garage that replaced the water pump and thermostat and it turns out the thermostat had indeed failed. And as a bonus I got it replaced for free as it was still under warranty. 👍 Job done (touch wood).
The Meriva B whisperer strikes again, keep on chugging.
👍👍
Could you do a video to show how to replace it ? I have the same car and issue as you
It's been replaced so I can't do a video on it.
It is fairly simple to do though.
Well done Mike. Just a query, what's the little button for on the left of the speedo?
It's just for the trip reading
