Just to help you out don’t use starting fluid it’ll do more harm than good. Silicone spray works great and won’t harm anything
You need to run a hose from the inside of the truck to intake/filter... Buy a spray handle thing from home depot the kind that has a trigger and makes spray painting easy... Mount it down low on the dash and just pull the trigger... Did it on an old ford work truck 7.3 she hated freezing winters haha. I used small soft copper line had to modify a little. Started with vopper line and the little red hose the can comes with I would stick it in the copper pipe and spray haha.. Got tired of getting out all the time. With the spray clip thing All I had to do was pull the trigger and clip in the new fluid when I ran out haha.

Take a small piece of plastic tube to the air intake. You can squirt her from inside. I had an idi this worked great on
Cody is awesome, when I did a nv5600 swap in my 08 6.7 mega cab after I did the dually swap, he helped me out a lot, I was about to send mine down to him, but I was having too many wiring issues with the truck, so I got rid of it

Im sure the timing you are running isnt helping the start up, thats where common rail trucks have the advantage, the start up so much easier decompessed because at low rpm you can tune timing out. 12v ya kinda fucked. That thing seems fast as hell for a stick though. Nice truck, love the channel

The old farm equipment had Ether injection systems From the cab I got an old Bobcat skid steer with it on it Yeah to be able to figure it out
International tractors the 86 series have the same either injection system on them. It is a little hose that runs right into the intake manifold.

In MO were starting 648g3 jd and 500 hp peterbilts without starting fluid and its 60 there and he has to I mean load the shit out of a pickup to start wow that truck wouldn't make it up north

People it’s takes forever to start because he decompressed it to 13:1! Factory compression ratio is 17:1... remember diesel use compression to ignite the fuel so less compression the harder it is to start!
