    I absolutely LOVE this! Especially when you realise you might be talking to Biology students and 'dumb it down' so it's easier to understand.
    I'm a student nurse here to fathom this relationship for medication... (NOT proccrastinating!) so this was REALLY useful for me.

    There are little men in the extracellular fluid?? Do you have any empirical evidence for this??

      No. It just removes the benzo from the receptors. The changes to the receptors are still there. That takes time to reverse. If you have heavy tolerance to benzos and you try to do this, it will just throw you into heavy and potentially dangerous withdrawal.
