i dont know japanese very much, hiragana and katakana (that would be the an -alphabet- syllabary to use) only mostly contain syllables with mostly consonant followed by wovls [wovls on their own and with ン (n)] - o'neal would be オネアル (onearu) and Ellon be エロン.. but i wonder if those are the same names in 日本語.. like for example in DYNA Blaster 🤔💣
It's pretty nuts that they were pumping out Bomberman games every year in the 90s but now it took them 5 years to make a sequel that looks almost the exact same
In the 90s the thing that took the longest when making games was the programming, now the programming is the fastest part and the assets take the longest to make, better graphics changed the game industry some ways good and a lot of ways bad.
I understand that modern games are taking longer times to develop, but before they had to create new art for everything, while here everything was reused from an old game. There is no good reason for that at all.
I think you have a lot of potential with continue sharing your Bomberman knowledge, and also reviewing any new Bomberman updates, I'm looking forward to what you can do next Also I don't trust Konami nowdays knowing how much they shit on their IPs, I hope at least that Bombergirl game gets localized, or Konami lets a third party dev to remake the classic games like Hero or 64
I'm one of those weirdos who watches your video multiple times, so far I'm at my third run-through lol. Just wanted to drop a comment to tell you how much I appreciate your video a lot! You remind me of a really close friend I used to have before he moved away, at least in how you speak. Your videos are also really nicely paced and I love your sense of humor, the way you present your personality is just very charming and it's greatly appreciated. Also, you got me to play more Bomberman! Started with the TG-16 game and played a few bits and pieces onwards, currently fumbling my way through super 2. Either way, nice to see you keeping up to date on Bomberman news in general lol, if you have other things you're just as passionate about or other series I'd love to see more things from you whenever you feel inspired! You're awesome
Lmao, I'm on my second rewatch and checking and recognizing stuff that will return later on is pretty neat, kind of what I fell while rewatching The Last Airbender
I simultaneously both do and don't wanna know what Hudson were planning next with this franchise, because it was probably gonna involve some amount of crazy shit, but like, it'd be crazy shit that I'd simply be cursed with the knowledge that it'd never happen.
Wish more people were excited about SBR2, and bomberman in general. Thanks for the great coverage, I enjoy the content whether its SBM2 or Bomberman games in general. Subscribed in hopes of more BM vids :)
just wanted to let you know that ur videos have led me to become deeply invested in the character of bomberman. bomberman jetters is a masterpiece. thanks for bringing this joy into my life
While Super Bomberman R Online certainly had its problems, it was the only "Battle Royal" game I’ve ever liked & put even a little time into so I’m a bit sad to find out it’s going to be shut down. Konami being Konami I guess, but I wish they put more into it to stand out in the long run. And woah had no idea there was new Bomber Girl news! It’s been trapped in Japanese Arcades for so long I’m surprised they’re even doing something with it. Curious to see what this will lead to.
Of course Konami would put all of the care in the hentai game. (Not to say that the SBR2 devs aren't putting in work and passion, it's just funnier to think this).
It's now tradition for me to watch a Bomberman Journey on holidays. Watched it on Easter, Victoria Day and Canada Day. It's so calming and fun. Thank you for all your hard work!
Subscribed. Anyone willing to put that much time, research and dedication into a Bomberman deepdive is deserving of subs and views. Plus, i really enjoyed learning about the whole Bomberman universe, i had no idea it was so huge. Ironically, i grew up on the basic PS1 bomberman game, which i have since learnt is one of the worst. You have inspired me to find and play through the classics. Thanks 🧨
i am on my second watch of your journey video, and for me it is just pristine content for speedruns! every time there is some downtime in my run, i can look over and see something new, and since my focus is taken away often, i keep learning and hearing new things that i didn't catch the first time. i'm probably going to watch it a third time too!
I only watched the other video once, but I watched it in like 30-40 mins chunks, so maybe that's the case with more people too in any case, love to see that you're the new bomberman authority, I have learned to have no hope about any games lately, but I can't help but hope that konami is going to add at the very least switch online play and some older features, like, I don't even care about playable characters or the story at this point, just give me remote bombs please...
the fact that a japanese arcade ecchi game has more past bomberman characters than the stuff on switch is so absurd. they should deffinitely release bombergirl in usa and europe.
Cautiously optimistic for this, curious to see how it shapes up! I hope they add some Bomberman via NSO. I'd love to be able to play the Super games or some of the N64 games on my Switch (especially if they bring ALL the Super games to the JP NSO that would rule). Also, why are they no big Bomberman Collections out there? Maybe a Super Collection, a TG16 collection, ect ect. Konami has a really bad habit of just... sitting on stuff. Anyways, thanks for coming to my Ted Talk.
I would argue that SBR wasn't completely basic bomberman because the story mode allows you to choose those new characters that have their own powers, sort of like playing Super Bomberman 4 in battle mode, and this is something that made it really interesting. Not a big Konami fanboy but using Richter's whip or Pyramid head's sword (OP) was fun and really helped give the game more substance than just white bomber walking around laying bombs.
Still wild that the Bomberman title with the most love for and references to all the obscure madness of the franchise is a (sorta) gender swapped anime MOBA. Tbh, I wouldn't hate for the game to become more accessible internationally.
I'm the only person in my group who likes Bomberman and your Bomberman journey vid was a great watch. Never thought i'd stay up all night and watch an 8 hour vid but I also never expected a vid ike that to be made in the first place so here we are.
By the by since people are chiming in and to help you grow as a channel as well, I also did watch batches of 30 to 45 minutes of the Bomberman Lore video, it was quite a journey let me tell ya
They should've just said that sbr is a reboot of the series so they don't have all the plot inconsistencies and so they can just create their own version of bomberman
We’ve had Bomberman games coming out everywhere every year throughout the 90s and early 2000s all the way up to the 7th generation with a big hiatus after that, this story is very similar to how the Mega Man series went from 2010 to 2018
I think they spoke about the level editor seperate from castle battle mode. Like, there's an actual level editor we haven't seen yet, and the one in the trailer was presumably just for the defense phase of castle mode.
14:30 - “Powertype table modifier editor” “Bornwith” - enter “bornwith for ‘Bomb’” that is like the most programmer-speak-placeholder-ass text I’ve ever seen. Atomic Bomberman had to have been made on a shoestring budget with no oversight from a publisher. That screen is all I needed to see. Regarding Bomberman R - See, I like the character designs and emoting in the little flash animations, but if the writing isn’t there it’s all for nothing.
They have a Switch exclusive character according to the website. I wonder if he will have an important role in Super Bomberman R 2… Also Nier Automata and Bomberman R were in the same direct, if Bomberman R2 does collabs this should be it
Darn I wish they would put back remote bombs. My family would hate that cuz I was near impossible to beat with those 🤣 even tho I'm amazing still with Lance Bomber (Contra) or Plasma / Max Bomber..
Hey just in case you haven't heard of it before, do yourself a favor and check out the fan game Power Bomberman. It's seriously the ultimate bomberman experience, especially for playing with friends
your 8hour Video is a great achievement, but it's good not to settle on one topic for too long.. though.. I'm kinda sad that your 8hour Video is now kinda obsolete^^ but it's still a really Good Video
So if Sirius and keppo are shown in bombergirl, this shows that the developers haven’t forgotten them. So there’s a slight chance they’ll be in sbr 2? Edit: I was wrong.
Its weird that konami have swapped solid snake with old snake in SBRO and this game. If it was to say that snake aged in SBRO then shouldn't he be already dead by SBR2? Does his sole existence mean that SBRO and is takes place a few months before SBR2 and is possibly canon? WHY DID THEY NAME THE MAIN PROTAGONIST OF SUIKODEN 2 AS SUIKODEN 2 HERO BOMBER??? does that mean that there is suikoden 1 hero bomber out there? Is this actually his name or his nickname? jesus konami if you want to make your own characters canon in bomberman then at least have them make sense
Why even Konami characters? I love konami games (back when they made games...), but adding Suikoden 2 hero bomber gives no tactical advantage whatsoever. I would kill to see Bonk and Master Takahashi in a video game again, making them cameo in a bomberman game instead would only make sense
It's good they're bringing Battle 64 into R2 so there's no freemium stuff (hopefully), but I'll still miss Online since it was my most played battle royale game! Also side-note, I hope the castle mode is fleshed out enough to be fun and not boring.
i watched the 8 hours but but clicked on it more than 10 times over a time period of a bout a month or so... i personally would not call that watching it multiple times.
this was kinda dissapointing but i still love it i cant even play online sometimes because there is no graded matches unless i do a private match when you play offline you literally have nothing new to do but just play regulary you cant even customize your character when you trynna play local like in the older bomberman r i hope they add that feature back
Really loved the Bomberman Journey vid! I wish Konami would go back to their old creative ways; not so much die. Metal Gears over saturation? Yeah give it a break. If anything I want Hudson to return! And yeah Bombergirl U.S. release. Maybe not ‘as’ censored but yeah they’ll end up censoring something (I mean half the stuff from Japan that made it here? Some of it made sense. But otherwise….Yeah I think we’re soft from censorship).
One thing I hate about Bomberman R is the aesthetic clash of the comicbook cutscenes and promo art against the actual appearance of everything in-game. I looove the comicbook style redesigns and wish they'd do a more apparent cel shaded style to keep consistent with the cutscenes and box art. I'm more mad at that than the lore inconsistencies -which kinda has been a trope throughout the games as it is anyway. 🤔
If they make an SBR 3, they should try having White take matters into his own hands. If they want to add multiplayer, they can add in a clone of White that dies in the end. The controversy part for Bombergirl would have to go to NASCAR levels for it to become popular, and I'm not talking about what happened to Brandon Brown. As long as it's enjoyable and fun, it should gain a loyal fanbase that probably doesn't involve off-brand stuff.
1. [The comment is split to different parts because UA-cam has an error when a comment is too long. Read the replies in the numbered order] "So, something happened huh? Guess I could... share my thoughts on it. Before we look at all the stuff that has come out, there are some things I should probably say. So, if you're only interested in what I have to say about these trailers, go ahead and skip the time stamp I will show right now. But first, there some things I should address. I have seen a few people claiming that I (?) Caused this to happen (?)... And while that is flattering I personally highly doubt that my video is what prompted this. My video went live in October of last year, but it didn't go viral until April of this year. Super Bomberman R Online's cancelletion was announced at the beginning of june, and super Bomberman R 2 was announced at the end of June. Cool as the thought is, I do highly doubt Konami is making this as a response to my video. I mean, quarter of a million views is huge, especially for my channel, where I just dub random stuff when I like it, but it isn't really at the level of what I think could have an impact on the industry or something like that. A quarter of a million views also doesn't really equate to a quarter of a million people that have seen the whole thing. Looking at the current hour count it looks more like 15.000 or so. Some people said they have wachted it multiple times, and while I don't know if I understand that, I'm glad you enjoy it .And the playlist version of it also doesn't have much higher stats. But hey, if the video caused more interest in Bomberman, then... um... great. I'm glad it had the intended effect. For what it's worth, I did get the number 1 spot if you search "Bomberman" on UA-cam. It was taken away by the announcement trailer, but then my video took it back a few days later... so... um... cool.
2. Now for some series clarification. Upon the announcement Super Bomberman R Online being canceled, many games journalists decided to write about it, and what do you know, there is a lot misinformation out there. Some of it coming from Konami itself. So let me quickly try to set the record straight on what exactly what these games are and aren't. Super Bomberman R, or "SBR", was a launch title for the Nintendo Switch, that was also later also ported to other platforms. It has on it; a campaign mode, a battle mode, that also be played online, and in a free uptade, they added grand prix, which is just some other battle modes with different rule sets that can also be played online. Super Bomberman R Online, or "SBRO", is not the online component of Super Bomberman R, It is a separate game, although the title does make things way more confusing than the need to be. That and the fact the game resused a whole bunch of character assets from SBR. Initially, a Google Stadia exclusive game, it was later ported to other platforms. Konami's announcement seems to be ignoring the original launch date as a stadia exclusive. Its total lifespan will have been... more like 28 months instead of 18 months. For its part, SBRO is a freemium game focused on its battle royale 64 mode where you can purchase season passes or whatever to unlock the different characters, and you also have to pay to be able to host private lobbies for more classic Bomberman battle games. Suppose I can also mention "Bomberman the Metal" here. It's kind of part of the SBR franchise. Released in 2018, it is a metal game. Or, one that is available in arcades, where you can earn tokens by playing it. It's implemented in a pretty scammy fashion though, you have to scan, put like a gazillion credits on it just to be able to use Bombs, and if you run out of bombs you gotta spend more credits. And it has its own really weird localization shenanigans. The Japanese version of the cabinet has a traditional battle mode, bit for the international version they got rid of the battle mode and also got rid of the characters on the screen, so you're just throwing bombs in it. But the second international version readded the characters, but did not readd the battle mode... it's a whole other rabbit hole with that thing. I had the chance to try it and I did not have fun with it. In fact, I might even call it the worst Bomberman Game, worse than Story DS. So that's what the SBR series consists of as of now.
3. In the big video I was very harsh on SBR, and I suppose I should clarify some things. When I complained about it contracting previous games, that's not because I have that much of a gripe with it... Bomberman always contradicted itself. It's more because when SBR was released there were many people going around saying "oh, wow! They're going into Bomberman's origin!" or "oh, the different colored Bombers are finally having a personality! That has never happened before!" I was responding directly to that by saying "um, yes, he has had origins and yes the other colored bombers have had fleshed out personalities to varying degrees in various Bomberman media. I didn't go into in the big video, but in the 90s Many commercials and mangas already had somewhat of a personality trope for some of the characters. For instance, red is very often shown to be a girl and this was carried over into bakugaidan. Now, you could argue the the whole "oh, original prototype Bomberman is the story that they are referencing with the grand prix uptade cutscene" which is fine I guess, but this information is coming to us by Vic Viper bomber... The journey was more focused on explaining the series as a whole than any individual game, and really I don't mind cameos of other franchises in Bomberman all that much. It can be fun if they're handled well. I harped on about them because... well I was building up to... uh... that one thing... come one I had to do it. And also because what does it mean for the series? It means Konami is taking the husk of something that they killed and they're turning it into Konami all-stars, and the trend is towards less Bomberman characters, more cameos. In SBR, the dastardlys, or, SBR versions of them, were also playablecharacters, but in SBRO, they were not, and instead we have more Konami cameos. There are unused voice lines in SBR, indicating that Buggler was going to be a playable character. And of course, they did introduce another new character; "Smuggler". Is he gonna be playable? No (!), of course not, they're gonna add more Konami cameos.
4. But ok, what are My thoughts on SBR just as a game its own? Well... I actually did have fun with it. I did not think for a second that Konami would ever... do anything with Bomberman. And though I was happy that he was getting a game at all, I can't say I was happy with the way he came back. It's a personal preference thing but I do not like the Bomberman Brothers Going the most part, sorry. Most of them have one personality trait that is used for a joke in a cutscene and that's that. When they set off on their mission white has to force all of them along with him... like, they aren't even motivated to go out there and save the world? You'd think at least red would be motivated to fight the bag guys but no, he apparently has to be forced to the ship too. Why does white take these guys along with him? Black goes from making sexist remarks, to being afraid of girls, to hitting on his sister. The cyberspace is closing and everyone's gonna die, but blue doesn't care. Pink Bomber is a good edition though to be honest, outside of official bio and in the free uptade mission, she is a decent person and filling the number 3 slot which is more female representation than Bomberman has had before for the most part. She was even going to be one of the characters in the board game that got canceled. Karaoke Bomber being their long lost sister Pretty is just not very well thought out at all. Plasma bomber almost brings up a deeper plot about societal oppression of robots but then it gets tossed aside without a second thought... Gameplaywise it is extremely basic. Now as a Bomberman fan you will be often confronted with "oh, 2D Bomberman is the same game over and over again nothing more of course it's not gonna be complex" well, as somebody who has actually played all th games, I couldn't agree less. When you actually look into them you will see that the different games did add different gimmicks to them, like the Luis, or other mounts and different power-ups like line bomb, the tracer bomb, they played around with different mission structures, some of them made the game more open-ended... Saying all 2D Bombermans are the same is a bit like saying all Marios are the same or all methods are the same. Sure, it's simular gameplay, but they find to iterate on it. Not so much with SBR though. A lot of the most long-standing power-ups that have have been in the game since the NES days are not present here, not even in some kind of nerfed form. Some of them are instead the exclusive ability of cameo characters. Enemy verity is extremely low, although they did have various mission structures in the levels here. And they do have some interesting stage gimmicks here with the push blocks... it's like yea, there is the start of something interesting here, but instead of adding more complexities to basic gameplay, they added a few new rulesets and... well... Konami cameos for the next few years. I will say again though, the music is pretty cool SBR. I especially love Karaoke Bomber's boss fight. **Elegant Dream from Super Bomberman R for 5 seconds** And the design of the dastardlys is pretty cool... I'm down with having these designs instead if their classic designs actually. Ok, I've babbled on and re-iterated enough stuff, let's have look at what we have here.
5. In the Nintendo Direct announcement we see that, well, it is still in the SBR universe with the Bomberman Brothers, and White is still struggling to get then to do anything. Sure, I would have preferred a complete reboot but hey, it's not like I expected them to just ditch what the astablished in SBR. Our next shows us what is probably the main villan, who doesn't have a name yet. Now my first thought was "oh, he looks kinda like Brain from Bomberman Max". Now, I do not think for a second they are actually referencing an older character or bringing him back, but it's a fun little observation that I felt like making. Hey, I make random connections, that's what I do for fun. On second thought, they don't look all that similar. We then get a large showing of this new castle mode ruleset. A 1vs15 mode where the 1 player looks to have a whole bunch of special abilities to slash away at the 15 attacking players. The 1 player also seems to have 5 things surrounding him which act possibly as uh... limits to how many times he can use an ability. White Bomber also has 3 squares here under his icon and that... might... be the health bar... In the previous spot we were also following a White Bomber but this White Bomber actually does not have those three squares under his icon, so this is a different player, one of the 15 attackers. It is a bit hard to see behind the text though. It looks like this White Bomber is holding a key. We see later that a Red Bomber who is holding a key is blasted away and drops it, so it looks like the 15 attackers need to gather enough keys to do something. The key is coming from these spawners. There was this lazer here in the top right, blocking the path. The lazer goes on and off seemingly at regular intervals. The one player can also edit the battle stage in preparation. Not... by all that much though, it seems. This is the same map we saw earlier but it doesn't look like the editing player can change the position of say, the keys. They can, however place soft blocks, cannons, the cannons look to turn on a regular basis and fire out a bomb. We see a cannon later that has smoke coming out of it, it appears to be malfunctioning but but still fires a bomb. So possibly, it will take multiple hits to destroy it, maybe while it's malfunctioning it doesn't shoot as many bombs. These pods here are what were creating the Lazer in the earlier shot, so can place those. The next thing here is a conveyor belt, which we se here, these arrows here don't appear in any of the footage, however they do appear in the footage of the Japanese nintedo direct, where we see that they are springboards. The last thing on the list here is the wall, we see that it is a wall because it points directly at the player here is placing down and it increments by one who places it. The stage also has magnets in it, and yet, we don't see them as something that you can place anywhere. These markings here on the floor probably indicate that you can't place walls there or perhaps other objects, so we'll be even more limited In our editing than what map editor would have you expect. I only mentioned its existence in the big video because I just wasn't really focusing too much on that particular game, but the most extensive level editor that Bomberman has had in an official capacity, is in Atomic Bomberman from 1997. In that game, you could determine all of your hard blocks, all of your soft blocks, all of your free spaces, you could reassign spawn locations anywhere you wanted, you could determine how many of each power-up you wanted in the match, which was fairly common at the time in other games too, and how many of each power-up players start with. In this castle mode, it looks like you really can't only place objects, obstacles for the attacking players to fight through, not that's an inherently a bad thing, it looks kinda fun, I guess, but just don't expect a full lever editor out of this.
6. Our next shot shows us our classic battle mode and Louie is still there! Yay! It looks like it's still just this one green Louie, I will say again, that when louies were introduced there 5 of them with different abilities, it looks like they still only have the green dashing Louie here, but hey, I'm glad they're still around. And The last snippet shows us battle 64 Battle Royale mode that SBRO was, so while SBRO is being shut down, it looks like the mode will continue to live on in SBR2, only this time you can't play it for free anymore. Now, some people have gone around claiming they have readded remote bombs to SBR2, I do... not know where this information is coming from. At the bottom of the screen for both the castle mode and battle 64 mode we see that we have the exact same power-ups that we have had since SBR and nothing more. Fire, bombs, roller skates, punch, kick, throw, penetration bombs, and jelly bombs. Browsing through the official website and some other things, we are comforted with these blue guys. Upon seeing them my immediate reaction was "oh, look! It's O'Neil, (Or O'Neal in the NES manual)! One of the classic enemies that's been around since the NES game! SBR did have Balloms, so this game is is going to have O'Neals!", but no, they are called "Elons" in English, and something similar in Japanese, so no, this not a refrence to a classic enemy character. It is said that they will help the 1 player defend the castle in castle mode. And that is what we see. Looking at the Nintendo Direct Footage again, we see that yes, indeed, there are Elons here, and not just that, they are charged with different elements. This yellow one looks like it's electric and here's a red one a fire element. It still has a blue orb on its chest though, so that doesn't change depending on wich elemental they are. The Japanese direct footage is a lot more up front. Here is a blue Elon using a water attack. It also shows them spawning from those red panels in the floor. This orb is going to have significance as we do see one right here in the title logo. They are kind of similar to the beads that all the bidamon characters had so... mayb- no no. I am giving Konami way too much credit if I think they are actually going to refrence bidamon with this. As for elemental powers, Bomberman has had elemental bombs and similar things in the past. Hero dabbled with it a little, then, second attack and generations had different elementally charged bombs that were a major part of the gameplay, some more than others, and then different elemental bombs appeared in jetters, the anime and the game. And they were going to appear in Bomberman 3DS from the little info we have on it. So far these Elons and their elemental forms are the only indication of various elemental systems being in the game. So, it remains to be seen how much of the gameplay will be affected by it.
I thought Bomberman R was a low cost/risk test to see who wants Bomberman and we'd get a core-series game if it sold ok. I'm really not at all interested in Bomberman R2. The only reason to own Bomberman R is the multiplayer; it has one of the most boring generic story modes in the series. Why would I get Bomberman R2? I don't expect a different story mode and I have the multiplayer on Switch already. Bomberman multiplayer doesn't change much except for the gimmicks you play around with a couple times and then ignore forever. What I really want is a sequel to the SNES/N64 continuity. I want "third attack" basically, like thoroughly, BM64SA is Bomberman perfection. The story mode formula is perfect, so perfect the game didn't need multiplayer, but we also got the most diverse multiplayer suite in the series with few super gimmicky modes - it's the perfect Bomberman multiplayer. Bomberman could have rivaled Mario! They had gold and they stopped digging. Don't get me wrong, the GCN games were still very good, but kind of started drifting from the perfect formula. At this point, I'd honestly rather see the Bomberman series become a completely shameless Pokemon clone with no hint of bombs than see paid retail Bomberman R sequels cranked out.
The hate I have for Super Bomberman R is that is very Konami business like and that's why I hate Bombergirl as well. I am not "don't think, just buy the product" A game for a quick cash and without the charm and content the previous Hudson Soft games had. At least it was successful. This one looks content rich but again trying to trust Konami after their many F**k ups is hard.
i still find it funny how the weeb game is more faithful to the series then the main games. Cant wait for a female obese bomberman, idk how that would even work but it would be funny
Personally, I am far more interested in SBR2. That's more what I want from a classical Bomberman game. As in regards to Bombergirl? Let that Softcore Porn game burn in hell, for all I care. If they want to bring it over, reskin it to make it a regular Bomberman game, visually.
I think itd not going to be good Why There a saying everything konami makes for console gaming after 2015 Is going to be disappointing bad I am worried
the new characters and vibes of R were never meant to be a part of the main series . the bomber bros are fun and sparked the imagination of fans who the vibe landed with . and ya some of us think the playful incest was very cute ; it reminds me of how me and my friends call each other siblings ; we made that bond against the hateful world , you know . and it's okay that we treat that bond with some kink and playfulness .
Just noticed Ellon could be Onil (O'Neal) backwards in some form. I dunno.
Onil backwards is Lino. That doesn't match Elon
i dont know japanese very much, hiragana and katakana (that would be the an -alphabet- syllabary to use) only mostly contain syllables with mostly consonant followed by wovls [wovls on their own and with ン (n)] - o'neal would be オネアル (onearu) and Ellon be エロン.. but i wonder if those are the same names in 日本語.. like for example in DYNA Blaster 🤔💣

@XDahe_yun16ツ Hudson soft ya no está, murió al ser comprado por Konami
Between they did work on 3 more games... so more like 5 games in 6 years
@@MikeTheMcer
Bomber girl yes, and that didn’t even get localized anywhere, but the other was just a revised version of R.
I think you have a lot of potential with continue sharing your Bomberman knowledge, and also reviewing any new Bomberman updates, I'm looking forward to what you can do next
Also I don't trust Konami nowdays knowing how much they shit on their IPs, I hope at least that Bombergirl game gets localized, or Konami lets a third party dev to remake the classic games like Hero or 64

But really though, who was going to watch the 8 hour video in one sitting? I can't imagine.
You had to come back to it. It was a journey.
just wanted to let you know that ur videos have led me to become deeply invested in the character of bomberman. bomberman jetters is a masterpiece. thanks for bringing this joy into my life
I also find it super funny that Mujoe's daughter is doing the tutorials in the bombergirl rainbow update
Bombergirl really our here having more series representation then what's supposed to be the modern representation of Bomberman
wow I didn't know about the Bombergirl news, they really put effort in bringing back obscure characters from the franchise
I only watched the other video once, but I watched it in like 30-40 mins chunks, so maybe that's the case with more people too in any case, love to see that you're the new bomberman authority, I have learned to have no hope about any games lately, but I can't help but hope that konami is going to add at the very least switch online play and some older features, like, I don't even care about playable characters or the story at this point, just give me remote bombs please...
sorry but i don't respect such authority
I can't believe bombergirl is the best modern bomberman game...
the fact that a japanese arcade ecchi game has more past bomberman characters than the stuff on switch is so absurd. they should deffinitely release bombergirl in usa and europe.
"Watched it multiple times" -not a bad idea, I guess I'll let it lull me to sleep.
I've watched your Bomberman video many times as a good source of background noise. It's really entertaining! :-)
Super "They're all" Bomberman "here" R
Still wild that the Bomberman title with the most love for and references to all the obscure madness of the franchise is a (sorta) gender swapped anime MOBA. Tbh, I wouldn't hate for the game to become more accessible internationally.
I'm the only person in my group who likes Bomberman and your Bomberman journey vid was a great watch. Never thought i'd stay up all night and watch an 8 hour vid but I also never expected a vid ike that to be made in the first place so here we are.
Also I really like SBR but SBRO doesn't sit well with me
By the by since people are chiming in and to help you grow as a channel as well, I also did watch batches of 30 to 45 minutes of the Bomberman Lore video, it was quite a journey let me tell ya
29:03 Bro how does this game care about Bomberman's history more than the actual games
I actually just finished the 8 hour video. I had a random urge to look up bomberman lore and you satisfied
Maybe castlemode is white bomber going postal on all of his siblings after 5 years of them being lazy
Now I just want to make my own bomberman game
14:30 - “Powertype table modifier editor” “Bornwith” - enter “bornwith for ‘Bomb’” that is like the most programmer-speak-placeholder-ass text I’ve ever seen. Atomic Bomberman had to have been made on a shoestring budget with no oversight from a publisher. That screen is all I needed to see.
Regarding Bomberman R - See, I like the character designs and emoting in the little flash animations, but if the writing isn’t there it’s all for nothing.
I think the markings on the floor in the castle creation is just part of the set dressing.
love your bomberman legacy video binging jetters right now so i guess my bomberman fuse was lit once again
thx for that video btw, been planning on rewatching it these days.. also such a sad fate for bomberman, to become a cameo royale for konami pshhh
Can't wait for Super Bomberman R 5 in the year 2041.
They lock all the power ups behind freaking cameo characters
27:14 my favorite moment
They have a Switch exclusive character according to the website. I wonder if he will have an important role in Super Bomberman R 2…
Also Nier Automata and Bomberman R were in the same direct, if Bomberman R2 does collabs this should be it
Are the other versions also getting exclusive characters?
it's probably just going to be max again
I loved your bomberman video, so I instantly thought about what you would think. I might even rewatch it tbh.
Also glad to see the series living, but disappointed to see how similar SBR2 looks to the first one
Everytime you say KONAMI i laugh
28:32 I can imagine that happening and fate giving them to Tencent as a middle finger to us all
hey your silly 8 hour video was really good i hope you keep uploading videos talking about bomberman like this one
"Soon i will be..." A BIG SHOT
Darn I wish they would put back remote bombs. My family would hate that cuz I was near impossible to beat with those 🤣 even tho I'm amazing still with Lance Bomber (Contra) or Plasma / Max Bomber..
that was a really nice video and trailer breakdown and I agree with pretty much everything you said
30:10 Try to play between 9 am - 1 pm. (EDT),I don't know your time zone. The JP community is realy active at this hours.
Oh boy here we go again with the Bomb Man
Super bomberman colleccion would be cool
did you see they announced another new bomberman today tho
“Mild Blood” yeah probably because of that Robbie Rabbit Bomber
Hey just in case you haven't heard of it before, do yourself a favor and check out the fan game Power Bomberman. It's seriously the ultimate bomberman experience, especially for playing with friends
your 8hour Video is a great achievement, but it's good not to settle on one topic for too long.. though.. I'm kinda sad that your 8hour Video is now kinda obsolete^^ but it's still a really Good Video
BABE NEW RIFEXD VIDEO JUST DROPPED
I wish I saw this video last week when SBR was on sale in the eShop. >_>
With the release of this video you will now be forever be labeled “the Bomberman guy”.
Wowee! Thanks for the new video :)
That new story villain has some resemblance to Regulus from Bomberman 64. But I doubt that. Lol
Here we are.
22:06 that heart is the number of likes people have given it. Not lives
Rip SUPER BOMBERMAN R ONLINE u will be always on my heart 😢 ur game was the best with different bombs styles...Bye
So if Sirius and keppo are shown in bombergirl, this shows that the developers haven’t forgotten them. So there’s a slight chance they’ll be in sbr 2?
Edit: I was wrong.
the logo reminds me PowerStone from DreamCast
Hey, are you Dutch or Flemish? I saw in the screenshot of the Bomberman tweet you showed in the video had "juni" in it as in the Dutch word for June.
are you using a voice editing program or is that your real voice, pretty unique if real voice
I would kill to see Bonk and Master Takahashi in a video game again, making them cameo in a bomberman game instead would only make sense
you should do a video ranking all games, i would watch it
Same
I'm excited for the newest Bomberman R game coming out! I hope we see more Konami easter eggs!
It's good they're bringing Battle 64 into R2 so there's no freemium stuff (hopefully), but I'll still miss Online since it was my most played battle royale game! Also side-note, I hope the castle mode is fleshed out enough to be fun and not boring.
Can't wait for James Sunderland Pillow Bomb meta
They NEED to bring back Sirius and make him a playable character
i watched the 8 hours but but clicked on it more than 10 times over a time period of a bout a month or so...
i personally would not call that watching it multiple times.
good video but i didn't know about the bombergirl news and I'm surprised they do something with that and i wish the br2 is gonna be good
I'm still trying to finish the video.
I wish the game looked as good as the 2d artwork
Hopefully they don’t screw up the title on the Nintendo Switch spine again
this was kinda dissapointing but i still love it i cant even play online sometimes because there is no graded matches unless i do a private match when you play offline you literally have nothing new to do but just play regulary you cant even customize your character when you trynna play local like in the older bomberman r i hope they add that feature back
Really loved the Bomberman Journey vid!
I love how he mercilessly says since 1983 you know before YOU owned the IP
Holly s**** what happen to your voice? , new microphone?
I pogged when I saw Sirius girl
The Same Game 2 (but Fortnite Mode)
Good for algorithm comment
castle mode looks... weird
bomberman lore master???
1. [The comment is split to different parts because UA-cam has an error when a comment is too long. Read the replies in the numbered order]
"So, something happened huh?
18:43 I'm sure as hell the "new friends" are only refering to more konami cameos, it's that obvious.
I am not "don't think, just buy the product"
A game for a quick cash and without the charm and content the previous Hudson Soft games had.
I hope they get whoever drew queen's blade characters for bomber girl, that'd be sick.
I think itd not going to be good
Why
There a saying everything konami makes for console gaming after 2015
Is going to be disappointing bad
I am worried
the new characters and vibes of R were never meant to be a part of the main series . the bomber bros are fun and sparked the imagination of fans who the vibe landed with . and ya some of us think the playful incest was very cute ; it reminds me of how me and my friends call each other siblings ; we made that bond against the hateful world , you know . and it's okay that we treat that bond with some kink and playfulness .
