One does not simply explain the very quick and simple lore of the man, that bombs alot, in one video. Hey, incompetent assholes at konami finally sell your ip's already, so actual video games development teams can make Bomberman games. The world needs more of them.

2 years ago i first commented, always watched a bit when i had time and didn’t forget it 😂 Great documentary on the whole thing and for me an eye opener especially on how everything is connected, because especially as a European where we missed on so many games it was great to see. And one of the funniest things for me was also how you could get you upgraded your mic several times in your journey. Thank you for this, great work man!

My favorite game so far is Super Bomberman 2 for the Super Nintendo. I have Max Blue champion on Game Boy Color but I hate it even though it's fun because I don't know how to progress to new levels. Every time I enter a stage it tells me the objective I completely objective and then it doesn't advance me to the next level and any portals I find take me back to stage 1 so I gave up

About the sister thing, people call older girls "big sis" in Japan, that might be just a translation thing. As for Bagura's name, I always thought of it as a fusion between Bug and Dracula, he's got the cape and all. Thank you for your service, I didn't watch everything with full focus, but it did accompany me through some crunch hours and I appreciate your narration style, way more assertive and focused than usual, with good humor and attention to detail. I usually can't stomach more than 30 minutes of videos like this. Cheers.

couple thoughts about Super R i genuinely think the artstyle is so cute and charming when Max showed up partway through the video, i started thinking "i miss Black i hope he comes back." this is not what i meant

8:16:13 It does not bother me that Pretty is their sister this time, when she was a romantic interest in previous games. I actually think it's pretty neat that they decided to do something interesting with the character! It has been explicitly stated by devs AND heavily implied in the games that these games are largely unconnected, mostly using the same characters for different purposes. The Dastardlies were made by that Golden Sun guy in one game, then made by Bagura in others. Pretty was a Dasterdly, then a World Bomber; a rival that wanted to kill Bomberman, then a friend and potential romantic interest. So it doesn't bother me that, in this cycle, she's a sister instead. What DOES bother me is that the flirting with Black is happening in the SAME GAME that she's their sister.

Watching thus again for my giant A Bomberman Journey rewatch and.... Wow. I feel this game was definitely rushed, and it sucks because it feels like Konami and the devs *want* to listen to the fans, but just don't have an understanding of what they want Bomberman to be... So an identity crisis? Missed signals? Hope that recent survey means a change

Hudson Soft definitely failed here where Nintendo succeeded in their GBA Mario games. Even with some slight iterating to clean some things up, no game's version of Mario Bros Classic ever changed something that broke compatibility with prior revisions.

Counterpoint to the "no DSi Download Play": I have "Battle of Giants - Dragons - Bronze Edition", a DSiWare gaiden version of the DS game, and it supports multiplayer via DS Download Play! I even tested it on my old DS (which my parents backed out of trading in after the sales rep had the foresight to mention the DSi's lack of a GBA slot) and it worked like a charm on the old silver nugget!
