Hi man, I'm trying to access the DPF regeneration in the Service section but it is'nt there. There are just three options but as I say no DPF regeneration option.

It can't start forced regeneration without driving? Like Delphi ? Cause on automatic transmission im not able to drive when im regenerating

Why don't manufacturers just install a sensor that tells you when the car is regenerating its DPF?
That way you know not to turn off your car.

It would scare people. Just like the coolant staying at 90°C the whole time. It actually fluctates the whole time, even when it goes to 100°C, it still shows as 90°C.
Also 99% of the people dont notice the regeneration.

@@ThenameisOskar they don't notice the re generation part is the problem!!!
If you turn off the car whilst it is regenerating you will fuck your dpf.
Most logical solution is to have a light pop up saying "Re Generation is happening" so you know not to turn off your car!!!!!!!
I think car manufacturers want you to destroy your car so you will have to pay for replacement parts sooner

@@dragospahontu Chill buddy. Nobody is trying to destroy your car. It wont do harm to the DPF when its not finished yet. The car will just turn on the fan to cool the engine bay down. The DPF regen will continue next time you drive, unless the soot mass is on a quite low amount of grams.

@@ThenameisOskar yes but if you drive slowly in city the DPF will never get the time to do the Regen.
On some Volkswagen cars you can actually here the engine and see the revs go up so you know when the re generation is talking place.
I think it would've been so easy to just place a sensor that told the owner, "Hi, I'm regenerating my DPF, please don't switch off engine untill regeneration is finished, thanks".

@@adamscarstories yes probably,I’ve had mine about 3 years or so,it was just the part that came up where you can select the dpf regeneration,on this one it’s a block of 4 lines you can choose from, you put little ticks in the boxes to select which one you want.
