These are great for trouble shooting. I used the OBD eleven which was similar to the carista.
Brilliant tool! I know a lot of folk know about them but there’s loads that don’t to.
I’ve had one for sometime and had a ‘tinker’ with the settings….. Good explanation of it Steve 👍

Hi Steve great video.
Cigarette lighter socket is live with ignition off can I set it to no power when ignition is switch off.
Eg if you have dashcam it would switch off with ignition.

🙏thanks buddy. NOW THAT I WOULD PAY FOR!! Unfortunately not. I have researched this and it is not possible to code this out I am told. The only thing you can do it realise the small positive wire from the batter which is the smart alternator cable and it will stop the stop start from working.

Hi, it might have some options to activate it in a single press but did you know it will fold them on factory settings if you press and hold the lock button?

Thank you😊. Yes you are correct. My headlamp bulbs are plug n play error free. It’s the main beam ones that are not. They are not able to fit the canbus in so it needs to be coded out.
Hi Steve I’ve got a VW transporter 2013 long wheelbase my rear numberplate lights I’ve gone out for the love of it I do not know which fuse it is I know where to find the fuses but I do not know which one it is do you have any idea as I do not have a diagram.
Hi David, I have to say I an not sure on that one. it may be worth not ruling out wiring coming through the rear loom with opening and closing the back or even a contact plate needing a clean. one place you could put your question is on the Facebook forum if its definitely a fuse you need to find.
Hey, this is a known issue with VWs from that period. It's nothing more than poor design - water gets in a corrodes the contacts directly next to the bulbs. A real bugger to fix and a favourite of the MOT fail!

This is transporter HQ showing you how to do it just took numbers down and they done it for me . I do like my lights ! And after getting advice from you in past I got the same light and done this and now I can see so much at night it puts smile on my face, just need the Lazer lights in grill now without the wife knowing how much they are ?

Hi Steve, curious as to why you had a headlight lightbulb warning/fault when Transporter HQ state that their headlights are plug and play no faults guaranteed. Are you running their V2. What was it that caused the error. Was keen to get some which is my reason for asking.
Hi Graham, Only on the main beam, the LED dipped beam system are fault free but on the T6 the high beam with through the waring light on as the lap does not have the module attached to it as you get with the H7 dipped.
If you do not use the high beam LED you will not have any errors. the warning light can be coded out if you do opt for the High beam LED using Vag-Com something ive been meaning to do! hope this info helps!

I don’t suppose you can select dipped beam to come on simultaneously with the main beam?!
No unfortunately that is not on it. Vagcom will do it but not as straight forward to use.

Hi. I don’t I’m afraid. Because I have dipped into the menus multiple times over the 4 years I have lost track.
After recently fitting a passenger swivel seat my airbag warning light is now showing, Will this device allow me to reset this?
I believe it will…. When I removed the panel on the passenger side to the left of the glove box it illuminated an airbag warning light and carista was able to reset that in the Diagnose section 👍
It definitely does. I had the warning light after removing the panel surrounding the head unit. Used Carista yesterday to turn it off

No, once your all done and happy with your new settings you can save and unplug. Plug back in next time you want to make changes👍

I am not 100% certain but I believe it is only Bluetooth
