- This is the first time I am running the Eastonmade 22-28 wood splitter. I have some ash rounds that need to be split and they are the perfect size for the 4 way wedge. We're going to see how long it takes to split 2 face cord of firewood with this log splitter.
Like something you see in a video? good chance its linked in my Amazon Store: www.amazon.com/shop/everythin...

Thanks for watching!
Awesome job Elliot! You’re going to love the new MACHINE! You’ll produce so much wood you’ll have to start selling it!
MACHINE! Cant wait to see what this ole girl will do!
Sweet splitter! Those baskets only hold around 35 cu. ft of wood stacked in them so less than that with it loose. A lot of people claim they hold a face cord and the truth is that they don't. - Tim
Exactly the reason I heap mine 8-12" above the top of the basket. Thanks for watching!
Glad to see you are putting the 22-28 to good use!
and its only the beginning, can only go up from here!
It's exciting to see how you are growing the firewood "opportunity"! There's a lot of work & investments, but can't wait to see when you sell your 1st load!
I’ve actually sold firewood to family and friends and that’s what I’ll probably continue to do. Mostly just a facecord here and there for “ambiance” burning.
Learn something new everyday….. For all these years I just called it “Damn fool cut it too long” now I know the proper term…. “LANDSCAPERS 16”. Great video!
I forget where I first heard it called a landscapers 16 but I loved it and use it all the time.
Crank it up brother!
Time to get after it. Might need to borrow ole soft hands Chris to keep this thing fed.
Oh man does setup just look purrty!!!!
I'm sure we will have some minor adjustments to make as I increase the workflow, but for right now were in business!
Well, Elliot, no matter what they say I think you’re doing just fine by yourself with that operation looks clean, safe and pretty much stress-free.
I cant wait to have a dedicated day to see how much I can get done in a full day of splitting. I think its going to be more than I imagine!
way works great.Think Larry on outdoors with Larry and Robin clamps totes together so He can move with skid steer.
oh my tractor would never be able to pick two totes at the same time...I know that for a fact!
Nice job! Awesome!
Thank you!
Nice job! That's fast work! Get yourself a really good hookaroon. Then you dont have to work as hard lifting logs and you can reach the big logs easier in the basket.
I normally don't have rounds in baskets like this, I do have a couple picks that I could use, but didn't think about it since this isn't business as usual.
Pretty sweet splitter Elliott!👍💪👍
It's a beast, thats for sure! Can't wait to see what it can actually do. This seemed too easy!
I ran Jake’s for a minute…..Just a beast….it don’t care what you put on it……
Can’t wait to get into the big stuff
You will only get faster! Still jealous you got yours before me, I placed order end of November.
I just went and looked through my email. My order was placed November 1. So you shouldn’t be far behind!
@@EverythingElliott Hey thanks for sharing that, that makes sense.
Nice first one. If you get a smaller one jammed in the grizzlies it will kick some of the future wood off to the side. That is what O have seen.
Looking at the footage, those rogue pieces came off the back when it was all jammed up...Hopefully thats solved by lifting the conveyor up one notch. Guess we will find out next time!
hi there nice splitting .john
Thanks for watching John!
Hey Elliot are you able to share were you get all them nice ibc totes there perfect for fire wood I live around the corner from you and heat our house with two fireplaces and that looks so much easier then what iv been doing.
I get them wherever I can find them. Sometimes I buy at auction, sometimes I buy from mulching companies, sometimes I find free ones. Just have to go to industrial places and ask
looks like pump might be a tad out of adjustment - I think that machine is a 6 or sub 6 cycle time. My buddies was out and it was like 8-10 sec
You know what....I was thinking the same thing...I ran Jakes and thought it was way faster. I'll have to look into that
My adjustment screw came out ( like jakes did) it definitely slows them down .
@@1squirreldog I'll have to double check that next time I'm out there
With any quality commercial log splitter, the production bottleneck is how fast your can feed it and remove the splits from it. You are almost always waiting on the machine even with 2 or 3 people running it.
Well I’m normally running by myself, so I’d imagine I’ll be the bottleneck! I think I might need to set up 4 totes to catch the wood so I’m not moving split totes every 20 minutes
@@EverythingElliott That's what the guys at Dude Ranch DIY have done. It took some trial and error to get the 4 totes perfectly aligned.
