Thank You!! I first applied neatsfoot oil to condition the dry leather, followed by a layer of fiebings tan kote to protect it from water as well as to prevent dye transfer. Afterwards, i added a layer of Beeswax/mineral oil blend to further protect it from water. This is because i found out that the tan kote layer would get sticky after being in contact with water, which was quite gross lol. The water that i sprayed at 2:25 was to demonstrate the waterproofing results from this method.
i bought beeswax from bunnings(australia) when i went there for a vacation. i also bought it online from taobao. Perhaps you can try your local art supply store! they use beeswax for candle making as well
Narration would be nice lol. Things like what are you doing? What are you spraying on the leather? What tools you’re using? What kind of leather are you using? Why are you spraying water on to it? Etc etc Maybe next video lol
Hi Allan, So the 1mm veg tanned leather was for the inner lining at 3:40 correct? But what was the lining used at 5:22? Looks like a thin fabric. Anyways, great video and passport holder!
Hey sorry for the late reply! yep the 1mm leather was for the inner lining. The lining used at 5:22 was a piece of silk, but you can use any other types of fabric for it. Thanks and cheers mate.
I love how there is no commentary. This is a classic unintentional ASMR video.
Glad you enjoyed it!
You have a very steady hand. Thanks for the conditioning/ water protectant tips.
Thanks!
Hi Allan, very impressive work!
Nice job. I like how u don't explain what u used and why. So mysterious!

Beautiful work! Would you mind letting me know your surface treatment materials? It seemed pretty extensive... wonderful result.
