Mario Malagnini is a magnificent tenor-- clear, beautiful sound, stentorian. When we worked with Tito Gobbi we would talk technique at the dorm with my nascent Italian-- The first time I heard him sing it was Ella mi creda from Fanciulla del West. He was very shy at the time, but out came this beautiful beautiful sound. Bravo Mario! Hai fatto bene--
