That saw is amazing, I’m so jealous. I just got done making a new pipe design that I’d love to see on a saw if that size, it works of the swirling of the exhaust

Thanks for the inspiration Tinman! I watched this video and the unboxing of the 2 homelites and decided to go pull an old Homelite super 2 my brother gave me that hadn't run since he owned it. It was "locked up" as it wouldn't turn over from the recoil. Long story short pulled the recoil off, twisted on the flywheel, it freed right up, put in a new plug as the old one was broken in 2, and believe it or not it started right up and idled and ran great. I just needed the inspiration to take an hour to get it running, and you did that for me!! Going to cut up some cherry limbs with it this weekend!

Oooohhh yeah. Love the sound of a 2100/01 ticking over. Like little motorbikes! The one I've been working on on my channel is nearly ready to cut too!! They are monster saws! Take her easy Tinman 🤘

Well Tinman, you have great videos. Learned a lot from you. Love that 2101. They pull nice in big fir. Hopefully you decide to port that baby so I have something to follow on the 3 that I have. Keep up the good work. Thanks again.

You know you are watching a true mechanic when he is fixing a chainsaw with a crescent and heli coil and has electrical tape on a injured finger.

Those thick ring 2100/2101s are hard to pull over on a cold start. The thin ring models are a little easier but just barely lol.

G’day Tinman, I have an opportunity to buy an original 268, my question is; are OEM parts still available like rewinds and clutch covers? Thanks. Tony. G.

Any ideas where to source the old school metal chainbreak hand guard? I’ve got a 268 with a good side cover, but it’s missing the hand guard. I was thinking I could just fab something up, but would prefer the original look.

Can you guys give me the reason you flip a saw on it’s side? Is that checking for a leak? I do this on a 268 and when flipped right the RPM increases, flipped left it will decrease. But it idles good and runs well.
