Where I-20 cuts through Irondale Ala. are lots of fossils in the cut. I kept my son’s elementary school (Irondale Elementary) stocked with them while he went there.
I am glad you are getting the crinoid fever. They are underappreciated. Fun fact: in all echinoderms their individual plates are made of a single crystal of calcite. In modern times it only takes 1-3 hours for a crinoid to start falling apart after death. That helps you understand how special each of the attached part you find are.
If I had known you were practically in my back yard, I could have sent you home with more local geodes, agates and fossils than you could carry. I’m a lifelong rockhound and at my age, that’s a lot of rocks!
@@bunny2032 Hi! I’m not exactly sure where they were hunting in the video, but I do know that between my location in northeast Alabama and Huntsville along state highway 72, there are numerous roadcuts that have fossil bearing limestone embankments. Many of the side roads also have good roadcuts as well.
That’s interesting I never thought about stopping on the side of the road like that. Looking for stuff that’s pretty interesting and you are finding some nice little pieces. Good to see you, Kyle.❤❤
Great video, Kyle! I like your intro music with your new song. You guys got so many great crinoids on this trip! Big, fat, chonky ones, too! Thanks for the upload!
Hi 😊 all.I love looking for those weird things that have amazing things going on inside them. When you actually find one out of this world,I know that special smile comes out. Love your videos. Thumbs-up 😮😂😊.
Those were some amazing calcite formations at that first locations and the crystals were amazing. And those fossils were awesome! really cool and perfect little crinoid stems! They are my favorites. Little O's! And the creek, wow! The crinoids there are amazing and huge! That place was awesome! Alabama has some cool fossils! Thanks Wildkyle!
Although the individual stem pieces are impressive, I prefer the matrix specimens, including both the colonies and the imprints. Used to find these in the driveway gravel growing up. Thanks for the upload!
Calyix are not as hard to find as you might think they just don't stand out often and are not articulated often. Look for volcano shapes(full calyx) and hexagon shapes(individual calyx plates).
Awesome video Kyle! here in Missouri, I see lots and lots of crinoids in the rocks! One rock was just made up of crushed crinoid pieces. You and Ariana are fun to watch together, and your finds today reminded me of when you were in Michigan with rob from Michigan rocks! Keep the awesome videos coming! 😁
I used to hunt for those crinoids on my grandmother and great uncle's hill in Nashville, TN. We used to call them Indian money. Man, those things were super huge, if I still had that property in my family I would've invited you up to it. You would have lost your mind at the size of those.
Those monster crinoids are amazing! As is that app that Ariana is using. It looks like something that I need to have on my phone! Please, what is the name of the app? Definitely a must have!
Now that I moved to Scranton Pa I’m hoping to find some natural places to fossil hunt. I was told about a few places to take the kids but I would like to go to a scenic area if you know what I’m talking about.
I’d try you hunts! I’m often in Brevard Co - could meet up, go on a good tooth hunt? I have a 2nd home in Illinois 5 minutes from an old limestone quarry where I never have a bad hunt. Crinoid city, trilobites, shark teeth, crinoids…
Crinoid fever Limpid feet Geode sickness growing into fishing feet and evolving into floating creeps, soon to become lizards toes flashing t-rex arms covered in feathers eventually flying over small ground mammals growing into wrist watch wearing high intellect apes building bombs to get back to space or waiting their turn to go back to the sun or to greet a passenger on UFO street, I like arcology like taking a picture of the past.
12:15 A WILDKYLE appeared.
The WILDKYLE used Rock Smash.
It's super effective!
The crinoid stem has fainted.

It's a fun way to hunt! Just have to make sure it's legal in certain areas and and that you're cautious!
What is the name of the rock app you used? It looks interesting does it work off gps or do you have to type in the location?
Great video, Kyle! I like your intro music with your new song. You guys got so many great crinoids on this trip! Big, fat, chonky ones, too! Thanks for the upload!
I love looking for fossils, or just cool looking rocks, thanks for taking us along on your adventures

Such big crinoid stems, wow!!! You and Arianna had a fun day out!❤️

I really prefer the matrix specimens too! Can't beat 'em.
Which app are you using at the beginning of the video?
Those bands crystals are great. Hidden away!
Great video and cool finds!❤️❤️
Looks like yall were on Hwy 431 headed to Sardis/Boaz area.
That is awesome! Thanks for sharing. The crinoids I find in Texas, are not very large.
Or the magnifying glass is called a jewelers loop. That's what I know it as. Very helpful piece.
I have a question what app is that for the rocks

Yes these finds are very very similar to Michigan! Glad you enjoyed Ariana in the vids. I'm sure she'll be in more!
Sounds good! can’t wait to see more videos!
When will there be a collection video
Cool fossils WildKyle 😁
That cacti or cactus looks like prickly pear which is edible ! But those there are damaged from getting real cold !
If you use consolidation glue after cleaning and prepping the larger crinoids they can be used as beads on a necklace.
That creek has the same stuff as one of my local creeks I go hunting for crinoids at! 😊
14:49 👁️ 👄 👁️ I luv that one
I live in Alabama what part were you in I'm in the south east corner.
Northwest!
How fun is that
What is the app you used to help identify time pros and what type of rock?
Hi, the app is called ROCKD !!! I have a Samsung and Love it, the app works Great! Good luck Hunting!
that pink high heel is one hell of insperation for a song !!!
great video again .

What app were u using??
Hey just wondering if there are any creeks or rivers you would recommend near Jacksonville florida
Awesome find with those crystals.
Also, those were not Ladybugs. They are Asian Lady beetles.
What Rocks App are you using?
Its called a loupe. A magnifying glass sure. But the technical term for what she was using is a loupe.
Thank you!
What app is the one you're using in the first minute? You mentioned rocks app but there's a bunch, thanks!
I hunt crinoids in Illinois. I have jars full! I love hunting them!😁
Those monster crinoids are amazing! As is that app that Ariana is using. It looks like something that I need to have on my phone! Please, what is the name of the app? Definitely a must have!

Glad you enjoy Ariana in the vids! Hope to have her along for more!
I love crinoids, about all we find here in Michigan. Except for Hexagonaria and Favosite.
Do you ever wonder what has been blasted off to make the high walls...or when the road cut was just being used as a trail...
U r the best i wish i can send u a letter and tell u about what i have been finding in my yard and tell u what i found metal decting
I see people at a road cut where I live in Kentucky. I always wondered what they was doing. Probably fossil hunting.

What’s that app you’re using?
It's called Rockd!
anyone got and good spots willing to share in central Florida?
It’s a Loop… not a magnifying glass. Lol
Hello!! ❤😊
I'd be all over that crystal material lol
I really do not believe it’s that old at all, maybe 7000yrs only, no way it’s millions of years!!!!
Crinoid fever Limpid feet Geode sickness growing into fishing feet and evolving into floating creeps, soon to become lizards toes flashing t-rex arms covered in feathers eventually flying over small ground mammals growing into wrist watch wearing high intellect apes building bombs to get back to space or waiting their turn to go back to the sun or to greet a passenger on UFO street, I like arcology like taking a picture of the past.
if you like fossils come to south west ohio .
First
300 million? Why not 300 billon or 300 trillion? Prolly only 3000 or less. What you think is reality is so unreality
I go based on the science. 💁
