Thank you so much! I was considering taking it to a dealer, because I had no idea where the batteries were. The first few seconds of your video showed me. Thanks heaps and heaps. It is a hot summer night in Sydney, Australia, and that stupid unit started blowing hot air for some stupid reason. The controls didn't respond, I couldn't change modes, temperature, it was totally out of control. I had some spare batteries, thank God, and the cold air is blowing on me as I speak. God bless you! Whatever God that may be. It's almost like us children of God have to help each other with things like that, because the top dogs in this world don't give a rat's arse.

Does the remote need to be pointed at the wall unit when changing temperature setting or other settings? There is no indication on the wall unit to confirm the desired temperature for example. In other words, Can the remote and the wall unit be 'out of sync' ?

I pulled the front of the remote down and it stopped no battery. Then I looked on UA-cam. Give it a wiggle and it pulled right off. There they are. Thank you
