Your vids have helped me I’m still stomped as far as the Grove Telescoping Load charts for a mobile crane. I keep coming up a few pounds to a few hundred pounds off. And it’s frustrating Where on the chart do you find the weight of the Main rope and aux rope and when it says 15ft below the tip how do you get those numbers thats where I get lost

@@MrATL27 Yes. With the practice load chart problems there are solutions and explanations for each of the problems. I've had some good reports from operators who have used the load chart problems to prepare for their exam. Also you can always email if you have a question--sometimes my response will be slow, my day job can get in the way, but I will respond.

There are 42 different problems with complete solutions. It can help operators build their speed and maintain accuracy. If you could give me a breakdown of strengths and weaknesses on the exams he's taken I may be able to provide additional recommendations. Don't let him give up. The best crane operators I've worked with have had to take the exam multiple times.
Hi, I just completed school. I passed the ccco core, and I practicing my load charts. I have trouble with one chart. I keep coming up 10 pounds off. Can I send the problem. I'm due to take my gro e test (written) in 2 weeks
How do u determine if u deduct all parts of line or only excess parts of line u mentioned it is different with every crane but i didn't notice how u determined that on this chart

@@juanvargas8361 Gross Capacity is not calculated. It is either the chart capacity or the line pull--whichever is lowest will be your gross capacity. You may be thinking of gross load--gross load = object weight + deductions. There are videos for gross load, and several videos illustrate what is meant by gross capacity.
Man... I hung my ole lady on the aux haul ball, and she broke my roooster sheave off the tip! May need to move her to the counterweight section...shooot!😮

It's in the load chart notes. 1 pound per foot for main and aux. 15 below tip would 15 pounds for single part line. 30 lbs for 2 parts, and so on.
