Hello just love your vides man going for crane crit for boom truck next week scared to death as my job could be affected by this if I dont pass.i was wondering if I just run boom truck do I need to learn all these crane that they have in the study book.thanks
Warren. Sorry for the late reply. Been doing some 18 hour days. For boom truck you only need the to take the telescopic boom, fixed cab (TSS) specialty exam--you don't need to worry about the lattice cranes or the telescopic boom swing cab cranes. You will also need to take the core exam which tests general crane knowledge and is mostly based on OSHA crane regulations Subpart CC 1926.1400. CCO did have a boom truck specialty exam but it is being discontinued because most operators chose to take the TSS exam. Hope this helps. Good luck on your exams. Don't be discouraged if it takes a couple of tries. Some of the best operators I know had to take the written exams more than once.
For your TSS specialty exam you will have the choice of Manitex or Shuttlelift. Go with the manitex. All of your load chart questions will be based on the Manitex load charts and the questions will be very similar to the problems worked out in the videos.
@@LoadChartLab thank you very headed for the core exam right now I believe I think maybe General knowledge not sure but he said no testing today. yesterday I had to do rigging and hand signal I got that. watch a video of the crash of old blue Tragic sad 3 man lost there life's that day my instructor is mark Kenny do you know him? very smart man.well thanks I learned alote from your videos of load charts all these years I been reading them wrong haha
Hi Dear Sir We are making SLI safe load indicators. We are having trouble weighting. We want to weigh with Crane hydraulic pressure sensor. The weight increases when we increase the boom length . The weight decreases when we do the 80 degree How we get the weight of the boom Can you help us in this?
This sounds like a question for the manufacturer of the crane. If I were you I would contact the company and engineers who designed and built the crane. Good luck and have a good day.
Thank you for helping us all out!
Thanks to God and you good Sr for this videos
Thanks for having this video , it really helped me out💯
