I love the way you explain, or teach the load chart. I was confused with, when I see the deduction on a GL capacity. I do understand to have the world Deduction on Net capacity. To me it would make a difference. My second language is English, as soon that I see the world deduction it come to my mind subtractions. Thanks to your formula, but to better understanding I will use deduction for net and add for GL.

So when do you know when it’s being lifted off the jib? Will the problem tell you or what determines that?

If the problem gives you an exact length for hanging line off the main boom, that means pick is off the jib. If it gives line hanging off jib your are picking off the main.

Thank God the crane jib is cannot be both stowed and erect, unlike my jib.

Does anyone have practice crane load chart problems to practice

I have a set of 42 different practice problems for the grove (also 42 for Manitowoc LBC), but I can't give them away. They are $55 for the grove. They go along with UA-cam videos. If interested go to Amazon and search for Load Chart Laboratory. People who've used the practice problems have been pleased.

I ordered those load chart practice test off of Amazon. So im waiting on those to come. But when i did take the chart test non of the test waz related to grove load chart . So is there anymore study materials out there i could get that maybe helpful for me. I talked to one guy in Houston and he was one of the guys that helped design nccr . He said that they got people all over the U.S.A to come to the table and like in New York they may call some part something else then we do down here. So i was willing to bet thats whats wrong when i seen a cylinder called a ram .

@@jeremysisk1489 I've got manitex and mantitowoc LBC. What kind of crane do you need certification for? Grove is for the large hydraulic swing cab (telescopic boom). You could also take a test on the link-belt rough terrain--it is also considered a large hydraulic swing cab. I do not advise taking the link-belt test--Grove is easier because the charts are only about 7 pages, whereas the Link-Belt charts are over 20 pages. You get the same certification from either exam. I noticed on you're order you're in NE Texas--Did a lot of work down in that area in the early 2000's. Let me know if you have more questions.
