Dear SS, thank you for the videos throught the year and this particular one. Christmas is coming, everyone awaits, but it seems that less and less people wishes Merry Christmas. So Merry Christmas to you, and see you next time!God bless!
Como siempre, una delicia de video, Sound Sommelier de los mejores canales de audio hifi para degustar calidad musical. Thank for the effort! Greetings from Mexico City.
Sounds very good, but there is a slight(very very tiny) scratchy sound at times....is that due to compretion on youtube? (Was more towards the end). Ehm....might just be a suboptimal internetconection here in the woods far away from sivilisation, so....maybe scratch that 🤪 (Leaving the comment to help with algoritms and shiiit 🤪).
Hello Sound Sommelier what is your opinion, the 802D4 or the old 800 D3? Which ones have better sound in a room of about 22 m2? I can have them for almost the same price, that's why I decide which one to buy. You've probably heard them both, unfortunately I don't have that option. What is your advice? Thanks
@@SoundSommelier Ok now I have 803 D2 what do you mean, the new 802 D4 big difference in sound compared to the old 803 D2 ? You've probably heard both
@@SoundSommelier For whom and under what circumstances would you recommend the 800 D3 over the 802 D4? I gather the 802D4 is perhaps more technically advanced, being a later design? I like the extra bass, but I do have two very capable subs I can press into service. Is the 800 D3 unbalanced in its presentation?
It depends what sort of sound your looking for. The b&w will sound richer and weighter but the Klipsch (assuming some decent ones in their heritage line) will give you that love sensation that the b&w’ scant match. People will argue to their blue in the face that the b&w’ scan sound live to but the Klipsch use compression horns and large format high sensitivity woofers just like love sound reinforcement uses. Not that the b&w’s aren’t wonderful they are, it just depends what sort of sound your after.
Great song, I could tell it was a Stevie Wonder cover by the vocal inflections of the singer, very similar to how Mr Wonder sings! As for the speakers themselves they look great, but I do not enjoy thin recessed midranges, even if the latest model is slightly less and recessed than the previous one.
To my old ears, D4 is better than D3. I've always liked the 800 series. However, the diamond tweeters are just too fast compared to the relatively slower mid/lower woofers. I find this inherently problematic.

Yeah been saying this for awhile now but audiophiles don’t science. The enclosure design B&W uses had terrible off-axis response. It’s like having one good speaker with crappy speakers playing behind it. To be fair the 802’s aren’t as bad as their two-way designs. Those are so bad that you can even see it in these demo videos by looking at the spectral content of the audio. There’s a big ass dip right in he midrange where your hearing is most sensitive. These do sound bright tho. Don’t remember if the previous generation of this speaker had that issue when I heard it. It could also simply be the video as well, of course, but it does sound accentuated.
@@mysock351C Agree with the sound but the results are more related to the crossover/driver combination. The boxes are extremely well made. Amazing speaker totally messed up by crossover choices.
I have a pair of 800D3's on MK125's (amongst the rest of a McIntosh/B&W theatre). You do have to get the 800 series to get worthwhile B&W speakers but if you do, they compare well with the rest of their price bracket.....as an "all-round" musical speaker. There are some speakers that beat them hands down at certain music types, but are soundly defeated by the 800's on other types. Also they need to be driven a bit before they come into their own. The MK125's suit them well. Also I use Nordost Red dawn Flatline speaker cables. These are old now, but do bring forward that upper mid - lower treble detail.
@@mysock351C Indeed I noticed that, and somewhat similar to the McIntosh famed "notably darkened treble" which make husky female vocals sound ok but virtually no other singer. Perhaps they both follow the BOSE strategy of 'make your sound signature so bizarre that you fool (preferably rich) novices into thinking it must represent high art'.

Wow, so crystal clear sounding 👍
Wow amazing sound. I bet it feels like you’re actually in the room with the singer with every song played.
Thanks for sharing nice music with high quality.Have a nice holidays to you too🎊🎊🎊
Best looking speakers on the planet! These are so much nicer looking than the D3's. B&W really outdid themselves with the D4's design.
Thanks for all great videos that you offered! Fantastic gear, best music...Merry Christmas!
아주 고급스러운 소리~~!!

4 ohm or 8 ohm?
Bro SS, i noticed the terminals are not biwired but just a short wire to replace the plates. Is the effect the same? I do the same for mine. 😁

Hello, not an essy choice. 802D4 better overall balance, 800D3 far better bass department. The small-medium room suits better the 802 than the 800.

What are these see trough speakers in the back ?
Great spreakers
👌👍👏
I love my 705 s2. Sure they aren’t to the level of the 800 still very pleased.
Not a huge difference to my ear. I don’t have a trained ear yet but I went from 702 to 802 d4. All great quality

Comes out how it was played. No delay whatsoever!

I’m sure there’s a reason for those woofers to stick out like that, but it looks horrible
It's good marketing no more don't waste your money on B&W
B&W and McIntosh surely look the best, but Dynaudio and Luxman sound the best...
