Huge soundstage, depth and acoustics thanks to that wonderful space proves one more time that at least 50% of overall success is where the setup is done. You can improve the sound only so much with gear unless the ideal room/space is used.
This restaurant hall is everything but not perfect. No dampening AT ALL as you can see, hard floor and hard surfaces all around … Wondering how you come to an opinion like this ?!
@@bikemike1118 the reverberation from all the echoes makes it sound like a well recorded track in a studio. It's easy to say the room acoustics are help in this situation because to many, even if it's not accurate, reverb is appealing in a sense the sound is heavenly, or more filling. That's likely what the original comment was referring to, and in some respects I'd agree. It's not that much different than an outdoor auditorium projecting sound outward towards the audience. Just my 2 cents kn the matter
Once again a bang on presentation! Amazing venue and sound. As the owner of SQL twos for 10+ years the Martin Logan‘s do acoustic, (brass, piano and jazz) extremely well.
I'm not a fan of Martin Logan speakers, but this fabulous atmospheric acoustic guitar track in such a large open space sounded so beautiful. The beauty of the sound was matched by the beauty of the elegant location. Thank you Sound Sommelier. Your taste as always remains impeccable.
I’m sitting here listening to this piece through my Bose computer sound bar!! Sounds amazing!! But of course it’s coming from the martins! Beautiful atmosphere! Makes me wanna get married in that venue!

So many (as seen in the first few comments alone) have NO experience with Martin Logan electrostatics. I have had many a guest in my dedicated listening space (NOT a living-room!) that have never heard a pair. Needless to say, they leave with a completely different understanding. The model you see here is NOT from the newest 'Masterpiece' series, and yet, they are pretty amazing! I have the Classic 9's which are the babies in the high end series, and they are an end game for me 🙂! With the recommended 400 wpc amplifier and an efficiency of 90 DB, they can play as big and loud as you care to listen and present a huge sound stage. Or, be whisper quiet in the background if need be.
Considering the volume inside this building, there is no way the "sustained echo" we hear is a result of that space, the size of the building would have to be several times, maybe ten times larger to get that type sound. Obviously there is going to be some echo within that building & that echo contributes to the music we hear...but the outright speed of that "returning sound" would make for a very shortly timed echo.

The one time that you don't walk behind the speaker cabinet is the one speaker that needs to be walked behind, Are those things 360 degrees of sound dispersion, because it sure sounds like it. Anyways thank you for the excellent selection.
I doubt it. There is definitely excellent soundstage though the 360 degrees of equal dispersion is far fetched for most setups. Location makes all the difference here.
