@@ivankavrakov9272 *IYKYK* 😏
Surely you mean the Separatist Alliance which would be the superset 🤓
Ancient civilization doesn't exist anymore.
nvidia is already a monopoly, us is just too afraid to shoot their own foot by investigating
Before ai: Do you want some GPUS?
After ai:: Do you want some ai chips?
Nvidia is whole other company from what it was before
@@_Chad_ThunderCock Yea, and either way still fraudulent. (((COREWEAVE)))
@@_Chad_ThunderCock Yeah, the upgrade in Nvidia has taken off much exponentially than I have seen in any other company. It's almost like they made a huge number of pivot among these year and they're still able to generate much profit. Something big is coming from them in two three years...
My teacher was wrong, the machines are not coming there already here 😂
Hopefully it wasn't your English/grammar teacher
@@jameswalker590 how did you know 😆
Boston Dynamics Atlas robot would leave a lot of the others standing, it's attempt at parkour manoeuvres and somersaults are examples of it's agility, truly exceptional 🤖
Look back to all the clunkiness they went through to get there. And it's the same clip used for years.
Do you need a robot that can do backflips or can do your laundry?
Nvidia can buy boston dynamics
Boston is taking an entirely different approach again... code. They program everything so... not ai.
and now they got a new one :D
having competition is what will lead to better robots not all of them using the same 1 company.
It would take more than a while to even get close to what NVIDIA has now. What are they supposed to do stop innovating and improving so someone can catch up?
so um... why would we jump over the sea of humanitys problems to focusing our energy on robots that mimic humanity?
Why don't we see a robot playing the flute?
I think simulated training will prove to be the winner here. Have them train tasks a million times in a week then upload whatever you want them to do.
Uploading kung fu to a robot will be possible in the near future like they did with neo in the matrix.
tesla does simulations as well
Until you realize the most accurate robots on the world have accumulation errors which result in totally wrong grasp points and have to be recalibrated, there’s no sim in the world that is directly transferable. Even Boston dynamics still uses MPC and has the most dynamic robots.
@@manuelightNvidia is the king of simulation. Tesla simulation is nothing compared to Nvidia. Tesla is nothing without Nvidia chips
Or the winner may be the robot that can be taught like you would teach a human in person... dunno
@@kingiam9271 Please MuJoco or Pybullet or Gazebo can give you better results. Stop the fake hype! Nvidia is a hardware play but they know the stock market loves software so they’re trying to hype up their software.
Waiting for Japan to show us their robots
Competition is always good for us consumers🤝🏻
from consumers to consumed
Boston Dynamic's robot are just insane
Their production capacity is a handful a year
@@bananakumauntil somebody decides they want them to produce more and has the money to hand over
They are still trained the same way humans learn parkor
Liquid neuron tech seems best suited for robotics and much more efficient but I don't see any mention.
Nvidia robotics is about building omniverse virtual twin to train robots much faster than what could be done in real world. Nvidia's approach is not to build it's own robot (except for experience building) but to prepare a platform (server and on the edge) that will support the companies that wants to develop the robots. In this way, Nvidia will be able to cover a much larger market than Tesla who wants to do all on it's own. It reminds me the Microsoft open ended approach versus Apple closed environment in the 1985-2000 period.
Nvidia developing a robotics ecosystem versus Tesla closed vertical integration.
Thanks for the info!
Yes exactly! This video is misleading.
Omniverse is only part of the GROOT architecture.
The most significant aspect of project GROOT is the general purpose foundation model developed by Nvidia for robotics. Omniverse provides the virtual environment for training. Tesla FSD does not rely on a foundation model that equips its ai with natural language capabilities. I expect machines with natural language capabilities to learn more efficiently and effectively.
i dont know, but i think tesla is running a "dojo" simulation also.
Dojo runs on Nvidia GPUs though
@@gunner_3my point being, he said theyre running no simulations for tesla bots
Dojo is a non factor. Elon said it himself on earnings call
@@gunner_3 Or AMD.

Sorry to say but the only robots actually present were the disney ones, all the other ones were a screen displayed on stage...
They didn't even TRY to come up with an acronym that made sense 😂🤣
How do we know we aren’t in a simulation being trained for something? 😳
That's the funny thing. We don't. 😂 A lot of people have theorized that possibility too.
we dont know
Neil deGrasse Tyson has a great response to that question, can't remember the full answer but you can look it up
We are
There is no way to know ...
For example, one of those areas is speed. Boston robotics and the like have faster robots for now.
why are they building more robots .?

I sense your aggravation,take a stress pill and relax…Dave.😂
Now both the immigrants and the colonisers' children can complain about somebody else taking their job! 🕊
Was that a HAL joke?? If so i love it.@patrickm6012
Absolutely! I can certainly see a time people are paid a base living wage for doing nothing . All transportation /delivery ect.will be automated . I bet within 5 years all Amazon packages are delivered by robots. If done right we all will have a lot more time forever leisure activities just like we do now compared to a hundred years ago.
Scary
awaiting open source ai engines and data (through a foundation managed, and thus backed by big companies to invest in it, like e.g. Linux)
Hard to believe given my phone can’t even take down a simple reminder without mistakes
We need to be able to build our own robots like we build our pc's
I want to see a robot ride a bike. As well as mount and dismount.
how about designing hands and more dexterous limbs for atlas and having boston dynamic collaborate with google or open ai.
Optimus is not bad considering how quick it has been developed but I am sick of seeing so many rudimentary and bulky designs, designing the actual robot itself should be much easier than the programming that goes into it.
Considering how stable spot mini and atlas have become, I think it is time to design more elaborate robots with ai dictating the algorithm that allows the robot to move, not like some wind up toy solider but similarly to an actual human.
gpt is great in terms of texting but I am curious how gemini would turn out if it were to be integrated with robots
Because Boston doesn't have much. I can't think of anything Boston has that would be useful for Tesla... Nvidia won't make robots as they're just opening up for other's. Boston doesn't have the AI training Tesla needs. It uses a bunch of sensors that is already redundant. They don't use AI, they don't use actuators that can be mass produced... they have nothing.
KudanSLAM has been installed in an autonomous bipedal humanoid robot that will soon be released!
Woaw I wanna Make a Friend with Wall-E Cute Robo!!! ✌🏻😃✌🏻
I wonder what the learning curve of AI robots would be. Chatgpt does not have any learning capabilities through social interaction. It is limited to a preestablished input.
It’s a bipedal foot race at this point
I want to buy one
How many more years until they fight back?
I think in some sense it's smart of Tesla to avoid dependency on "the Nvidia Monopoly" -- but especially short term, Nvidia (and partners) will have an enormous advantage due to their scale, services and singular focus. In other words, bots using the Nvidia stack will likely be "better", but Nvidia has not always treated their their downstream partners well (EVGA being one of many), so I'd be nervous about vendor lock-in.
Most ai struggling and here we have atlas doing parkour lol
pre programmed parkour.
A time will soon come when it will be very difficult to distinguish a humanoid from a human , based on appearance and very easy , based on performance.Welcome to the brave new world of AI.
what about figure robots?
They are partnered with Nvidia
Wait, Isn't Tesla working with Nvidia? I heard that the Tesla Cars chip was made by Nvidia, why don't they work together for their Optimus?
Tesla is Nvidia customer. Nvidia won't waste its time on trash like Optimus
Tesla's bot looks more like apple and nvidia looks like early day Andriod, the movements are jerky and not tight
I was exactly thinking the same thing lol
Tesla's bot is more like blackberry. Boston Dynamics is like Apple.
what did you smoke?@@gerritjanboeve
both
Honestly simulation sounds more practical, since the machine can run it over and over much more quickly. As for real life trials, it's hard to say since real life can have more unpredictable situations.
But I'd definitely trust any company over ones controlled by Musk any day.
So trust openAI now over how it was before after Musk basically founded it?
@@terrestrialcreature7481Musk was thrown out from openAI and also he was thrown out of paypal...
@@terrestrialcreature7481 he did not found OpenAI. He was an investor. Investor != Founder. Which is why he wants to sue OpenAI as a SHAREHOLDER. He did not create Tesla either. He just did a hostile takeover. What he does is give funding and then take over the companies he is interested in then he has the original owners sign NDAs so they will not say that he is not the owner. Elon's business strategy is to create hype and a cult following around him so that when he does do something questionable or stupid, people will defend him.
Basically Nvidia addressed their bust cycles by creating a product that will constantly need upgrading. And if a company is not constantly getting the latest chips they are left in the dust
Mildly terrified. Not for myself but for mankind.
Wonder if Musk will incorporate neural link data in training Optimus somehow. Definitely scary NVIDIA having such a monopoly on all humanoids. Thank goodness we have Tesla to offer some competition.
Matrix is closer… dun dun dun 😮
They're complementary.
32k ram - Acorn microcomputer Model 'B' .
Detroit Become human becoming more and more real
Its just a matter of time when we see those robots taking away most of our jobs.
AI and quantum computing would probably be able to design the best robot.
Boston dynamics is years ahead of everybody else
won take long to catch up, tesla has been at this for 2 years while Boston has 30 years.
Boston dynamics have no where near the spending power nor super powerful AI modules that Nvidia has.
Cool
There’s literally a bunch of movies that says why this is not a good idea
My vote is on the Teslabot
Tesla is using the same AI computer as the cars, the same cameras and batteries as the car, besides the actuators and body. They already mass produce most of the robot parts. That’s the biggest strength the Tesla bot has, it is design to be mass produced and most of its parts already are mass produced for the cars. They can get to lower price sooner, instead of 30k Tesla could be at 15k in price. The competition put together won’t be at Tesla scale of production for years.
Can't really compare the two. Groot is an omniverse that allows training for humanoid robots using digital twins whereas Tesla uses its own model and trains its robots using real-world data. We never really had something like Groot before. Nvidia wants to help other companies build robots and AI. Nvidia already has a large market share over the GPU market which is essential for generating tokens for AI. Tesla is probably using Nvidia's GPUs and APIs to create the robot and its AI. Nvidia wants to be the gold mine for AI and hand the pickaxes to companies to mine the "AI Gold Rush". Jensen Huang, the CEO of Nvidia, said this himself at the GTC. In reality, Nvidia is in charge of the excavation site and Tesla is just a miner.
tesla makes their own inhouse chips since they specialize them for Tesla's vision based learning goals, it gives them an advantage in key areas of machine learning.
The difference between Tesla and all others will come down to cost. Their ability to utilize loads of experience in mass production will help their Optimus robot dominate the market's share simply because of its affordability.
Tesla having a proprietary implementation of a thing was previously beneficial because they had first mover advantage and the logistics of charging stations encourage the use of one standard for all. Neither aspect applies in this case, neither first mover advantage nor constraints prohibiting multiple implementations. At best, Tesla could try to make an Apple-style ecosystem, but that seems incredibly unlikely to succeed for this type of technology and in this time when interoperability is becoming more ubiquitous and thus expected by consumers.
So fully integrated hardware and software, or software distributed to random hardware vendors. Hmmmmm
We call robots "robot" because we don't want them to behave like humans, we want them to work like machines. The fact that big investors are backing humanoid robots now isn't because 'humanoid' is intrinsically good, but because that's the money-making proposition: making a machine that fits in paying holes currently occupied by very large numbers of not-very-well-paid humans. As soon as replacement is far enough advanced, expect optimisation to remove 'humanoid' features. Humans should campaign for 'human reservations' to prevent being optimised away. We won't do it: mobile machines are shiny.
Those robots are gonna replace McDonald's employees that are teens who need a part time job
The Honda Asimo Robot was more advanced in 2014 than Tesla and Groot bots. Honda stopped developing ASIMO and the tech is now being used in that Atlas robot. It’s why it’s running and walking looks so smooth. ASIMO could hop on one foot in its last iteration.
Now they entertain us later we will be forced to entertain them.
Tesla patents all its inventions, but it allows anybody to use those patents. The only thing is: they can't do anything to make them proprietary. In that sense, Tesla has a leg up on the competition though they're being behind in certain areas.
iRobot here we come!
I think you mean "I, Robot", unless you're talking about vacuum bots 😁
Oh no...💀
I wonder if Nvidia bots will be able to charge at Teslas Superchargers? Haha
Willie smith is coming 🔜
You misunderstand potential, do you not realise that it’s collaboration that has the capability of utilising the maximum potential in any given circumstance,,, not competition! Maybe take some time to consider why this is the case!!!!
Nvidia is going to win in robotic training
This isnt going to end well
LORD QUAS
Is Tesla running their AI off of NVIDIA GPUs or not?
No, they've designed their own SoC chip which is produced by TSMC.
It is most likely a 7nm chip, designed by ex-AMD employees recruited by Tesla. It probably shares some protocols/architecture characteristics with their Dojo D1 server chips. In that case it's not exactly a GPU, but the architecture is likely optimized for AI inference. I'm quite sure they'll train on the Dojo chips, and use the onboard SoC for inference.
Tesla shows theirs off in person, Nvida just showed projections.
Nvidia is roasting Tesla's crappy bots.
Humans buy robots -- 2025
"I am altering the deal. Pray I don't alter it any further" -- Robot 2030.
It's scared me.
Why did you say Nvidia's Robots were present. THEY WERE ON A SCREEN. NOT PRESET AT THE CONFERENCE. When you can demonstrate robot abilities on stage then you will get respect. Kudos to Tesla Robot that delivers. 100%
Just waiting to wake up in a pod and knowing that i am the one
In reality, most of them will fail. Most of them will not get the same amount of resources and it will also be hard to convince customers if these robots are not affordable enough.
They watch to much to movies Groot and Optimus😂
What can go wrong 🥴
iRobot is going to be a reality 🙃
Nvidia is like Justin hammer
Atlas is the best robot there is
I'm off to live in the forest.
I live in the forest with my dumb lawn robot
Reality, is that Tesla ai robot can be linked to a human with the neuralink chip. This can allow a human to do bad things, via the robot avatar.. not sure if this will be outlawed, but all the hardware and software are here now.. it’s a matter of integration and implementation. We are in uncharted territory.. it’s like how the WWW was in the early 90s, we knew it has potential, but how it’s has changed our lives was unprecedented. Same with ai robotics and neuralink.. virtual worlds, avatars and possibly defence forces which wil be entire armies of robots ck trolled by a few generals? Using neuralink. Prob starships will be used to immediately transport robot armies, via space within 30 mins anywhere on earth. Elon musk, will be the evil emperor, same path that a akin skywalker took… u live long enough to be the bad guy.
Get a trade job, they said. It's safe from AI, they said.
Well, if a humanoid robot exists, all jobs are pretty much at risk. Atleast with trade jobs, they’ll probably be the hardest to replace due to the infinite amount of variables in comparison to the easier and more repetitive jobs.
The world just going to become more fatter now 🙃
Thank god i invested in nvidia
yas fellow nvidian
You don’t need to thank nvidia to invest in nvidia.
Cannot comprehend why everyone is excited about Tesla bot. 3 years and it can barely walk on a flat surface. Atlas and Figure are lightyears ahead
Musk talks. Boston delivers.
Don't put Tesla's grade school toys in the same category as Nvidia.
the biggest challenge will be not so much computing power or increasingly even AI but the aesthetics of the robot. people forget that Japan has worked on robots for decades and has done extensive research on how people would relate and interact with robots, this shows up in their designs like Asimo and Pepper. America in contrast cant get past cold looking androids and terminator like ugliness. we need more school teachers, anthropologists, sociologists, and artists working on robot design.
Tesla does not "build " their own charging stations
I know they use a third party, your information is not accurate.
they build the equipment, other companies install it, its why they have such high reliability compared to other companies, which also why their charging station batteries and solar installations catch fire, from improper installation.
This isn’t super helpful…. Very surface level
Are we ever going to stop this?
Exactly, this should be stop right now, we still have time to stop this Madness.
Wait till you see ambidex 😂 or the new atlas
This going to make life easier
It's a tesla ecosystem
Nvidia will bring us the Terminator.
My money is on Tesla!
Nvidia and Tesla are barely competitors. Nvidia will be the defacto provider of many of the world's humanoid robots. Tesla will be the global leader in humanoid robot manufacturing.
