This song is very apt considering what madness is happening in the World at the moment, it a shame that certain countries rulers haven't listened to this song and realised what misery they are bringing to the World and put an end to it.

I grew up listening to The Irish Rovers because of my mother. I think I knew their music before I knew the popular 80's hits! Still listening today, and this has become my newest favorite song. It's nice to hear music that isn't vulgar or derogatory and that you can let your children listen to without having to worry about negative influences.

I’ve been a fan of theirs for about 50 years, since I was a little girl. I’ve met them on several occasions. My parents and their best friends LOVED going to see them in concert and my closest sister and I got to go along many times. I love them!

My grandparents emigrated from Ireland as teens and got to work making a life; they weren't told how important it is to pass along the stories, the language, and the music of their childhoods. What I learned of my Irishness was though the Rovers on their turntable; always and only the Rovers. It is a gossamer thin but unbreakable strand to my past, my people's people, and the forgotten/lost culture that many of us experience. Thank you.
