You probably wouldn't call a boy wearing dresses and bakes or a girl with tomboy characteristics clothes and behaviors as transgender, but that's what the word means. Most people are mixing up what ought to be called trans-sex with transgender. Perhaps it stems from government trying to force something on population like MAID.
I'm not familiar with Dan Crenshaw and I'm middle-of-the-road when it comes to politics, but this sane, moral, calm, wise and straightforward Representative would have my vote for President. What a political breath of fresh air this guy is.

Well the people that are in need of transgender affirming care don't need mental help like you're talking about, they need gender affirming care. That's why the experts understand that and that's what the experts are going to give it to them… And they're not asking your permission and they don't need it

Well here's a great thing. The Democrats in Congress are not going to allow the bigoted pigment Republicans the past any federal laws banning gender from care.
Neither will the president, so we don't have to worry about any federal laws being written by ignorant stupid people that don't know what they're talking about interfering with proper medical treatment for those that need gender from care.
Now course are going to be some states that will ban it, because some states are run by ignorant moron right-wingers that are bigots to their core in don't care about truth or the science.
So were not going to be able to do in the no states that are the but the majority of the states and especially states run by Democrats those are safe havens.
In no states there will be no debate there will be no discussion because were already ahead of the curve we already understand that gender from care is a real thing, and is a good thing, and we don't care about ignorant moronic right-wingers that disagree… They don't get a boat and they don't get a say.

And oh by the way, look up Rick Colby, he's a staunch right-winger in Ohio. However, amazingly enough, he actually has the intelligence, and the compassion to put to the truth, and what's best for his child ahead of his right wing ideology.
This is a man that is a right-winger who understands that gender from care is a real and good thing and is defending it for his son, Colby.

100% listen to any detransitioner's story - they go in to a psychologist's office with a self diagnosis and within 15-60 mins they have a script for puberty blockers and testosterone. Being a Muslim I have lot of respect for someone who can see the right from wrong and speaks about it.
I oppose much of the politics being perpetuated by the conservative right in the past several years, but this is a losing issue for Democrats, and from what I’ve seen in Mr. Crenshaw, he actually deals with issues with a reasonable level of intelligence and fact based thinking. He might be the one Republican candidate I could see myself voting for.

"Gender affirming care"? What's that? Oh, I remember now! That's when a young minor is genitally mutilated, pumped up with hormones and puberty blockers ... after being talked into it by an adult -- virtually always not the child's parents -- claiming this will solve the child's emotional distress. How could I have forgotten about the compassion of "gender-affirming care?"
This phrase is just above "collateral damage" to replace the term "civilians killed and maimed" in a war zone on the list of best euphemisms for sanitizing reality by those who wish to conceal it. Also, "Diversity/Equity/Inclusion" is a good one replacing the far more unsettling term "reverse racial discrimination."

This is also an illusion where transpeople just try to copy what they see but they can't ever be the other gender therefore they usually suffer from mental issues. Gender affirming care would be talking to a kid that is confused about what gender they are and telling them if they have interior plumbing you are a female, if you have external plumbing, you are a male. Is there something we can do to help you understand and except that.

Genuine gender affirming care should be empathetic and carefully considered counselling that aims at reducing the psychological stress of real or imagined gender dysphoria. It is definitely not the encouragement of children into accepting non reversible physical interventions that they may later regret!
