Had me captivated 20 min in! Now at 6 hrs i can say it is excellently written. Glad i found this author. Soothing, even toned narriation, i hate when the reader changes the volume while reading, waking me up when I'm trying to sleep with the audio book. Can't wait to listen to the rest.

I am 41 and reading at least 1 book week since I was 9 (as a kid with more time on my hands, more like 4 😂) I enjoy fantasy and cozy mystery the most, but I read humor, auto biographys / biogragraphys, thrillers and as an adult occasionaly nonfiction from science to self help books. read the classics, from animal farm to the great Gatsby, read disc world to a song of fire and ice. nowadays I mostly listen to books though, same difference. this series so far can hold a candle to some of the most praised works out there in my opinion. I hope your gift will be be appreciated and shared by many.

All in all, a captivating and well crafted story. I read/listen to about a book a week since being an adult. as a kid from around 9, I read up to 4, literally under the covers with a flashlight. getting older as a young teen, there where times I only came out of my room to eat. as an older teen into my 20's I read less, but still always had a book in my purse, to at least read on the bus when on the way to a friend's house for example. I enjoy the genre of fantasy and cozy mysterys the most, but read the classics from 'animal farm' to 'the scarlet letter' . from 'disc world' to 'the song of ice and fire', from 'the Lorax' to 'pretty women'. from the 'green mile' to the 'millénium trilogy' as an adult i added satire, humor and non fiction genres from biographys to science. psychology to religion. so far your series can hold a candle to some of the most praised work out there in my option. i hope your gift is shared and appreciated by many and you can live off of your craft comfortably.

I found this story looking for mlm books. It’s refreshing having a fully fleshed out story where the world feels like things are happening and it’s not just narrowed down to a relationship with a story as a b plot.
Not to take away from the intended compliment, but if you are two hours into a book before you have decided you are intrigued, that's not great at all.
Thank you! I actually had an offer from a publisher on this one... but the truth is, unless the offer is really good, it often makes more sense to do it yourself, which I opted for with this series. Still, if the big houses ever want to offer me real money, I'll probably take them up on it!

For some reason, the style of some parts of this series reminded me of Brandon Sanderson at his best. I don't want to compare the content but more the impact B.S. had on me, just like Joe Abercrombie did (a completely different style compared to genre-typical works) and now Levi Jacobs delights with another impact. Nice idea. I was very interested. But poor execution. its not immersive. Its more telling and too little description. The cover alone is not all the worldbuilding there should be. This feels like a draft with potential. Keep writing❤

Im a Christian, of course, "race shouldn't matter"... and in a fair and equitable world, it wouldn't. This is the world we have, so we have to do the work to make it better. There's too much evidence for you to deny that the disparity is incredible. We spend our money and time supporting writers/creators without representation. This writer gets it, that people who look like me can also be interesting. So, I will be the first to show my gratitude/support. How often would I read a book where a zombie apocalypse or the earth is made uninhabitable, and the last vestige of humans has no one that looks like me. Fiction isn't real. It's whatever the author wants it to be. We finish books where halfway through it, we realize that this writer sees utopia being a place where I'm extinct. I don't believe anything that I've conveyed is new information to you. It's all common knowledge. So, what is your motivation here (and the 2 people who like your comment)?

I enjoyed the setting, and most the characters. But honestly with the absolute inundation of lipstick lesbian girl bosses in just about every single book, movie, comic and game. I just could not get behind yet another one like the MC in these books. The world builting top notch, a lot of the characters well fleshed out but the MC's trope has been played out.
Good story, however, constructive criticism, to help you make advancement! Plse get a trained voice actor/s to narrate or learn! Good try, but, character voices/accents, dramatic pauses, emotion, ageing / de-ageing - all missing! Not all actors have specific voice acting training. It's an art in itself! You could get training yourself? My daughter is a voice actor - trained. Her mentor did 23 voices for different characters in The Witcher computer game series! Why not learn, increase your skills?
I had to buy new earbuds just to hear this. So quiet. One of the worst narrators I've ever listened to. Looks like I'll be reading this book instead of listening to it.

Male voice just doesn't sound right. A female reader would have been much better.
The voice is fine, but I agree that a female narrator would have sat better in my mind.
