Can I just say it's great to find such a good book that isn't 16 hours long. Good length, well written, well paced, and well narrated. I'll definitely be checking out the rest of these.
I prefer around 30 to 40 hours for a book

Love it. No corny quotes or cheesy references to stuff no one knows about.
I try not to. In later books, characters have small talk about events in previous books and in my other big series (The Rogue Elf) my older Stormborn Saga characters mention events during the "Stormborn years" but you as the reader generally know exactly what they're talking about.
